The host was exceptionally thoughtful and kind despite his own situation. The views from the verandah are beautiful and I'm sure even more so when the sun is shining. The heated underblanket was so welcome in the coldest March Crete has had for some time.

The owners: The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet in your life. Not only did they leave snacks and drinks in the house for our arrival, but they made sure to be present and personally tend to any concerns or problems we might have. They answered all our questions, provided great advice for things to see near the house and were just generally extremely helpful, despite going through a hard time due to personal reasons. There were some internet issues (not caused by the owners but by the internet service provider) and Jiannis and Maria did everything in their power to help us fix it, and when that didn't work provided us with an unlimited data card so that we could still use the internet normally. On several occasions we just sat and had a drink with them because they are such pleasant people. Some of the owner's family live adjacent to the property, and they will tend to the plants in the garden and such without being intrusive. They also helped us out when we locked ourselves out of the property once :-) The house: The house is very spacious with high ceilings and a large living room. There's a cozy corner to sit with a fireplace (we didn't use it since it was summer), but there's a lot of other little corners to sit and do something else too, including a bar by the open plan kitchen, which has all the basics excluding a dishwasher but including a washing machine. The master bedroom is huge and has a lot of storage space in a giant wardrobe and other cabinets, plus spare blankets in case you get cold. The other two bedrooms are much smaller with less storage, but still decent. The garden is great, with many spots to sit so you can always find a nice spot in the sun or shade. The pool isn't huge but great to cool down in when it's hot. The bathroom is small and odd with two toilets, but functional.

The villa is fabulous. It is spotlessly clean , the kitchen is really well stocked and the bathrooms are lovely and have shampoo and shower gel. The hosts have left all the essentials for you including a lovely fruit bowl , butter , jams and a plate of pastries for our arrival. Pedros our host was at hand for anything we needed. I loved our stay here and hope to return.

We had a wonderful family vacation in the villa! We were a family of 10 (including 2 small children) and the rooms were more than enough for all of us. Maria welcomed us and explained everything about the property, it has almost everything you can think of (including a very well-equipped kitchen, with different kinds of coffee makers and even a popcorn machine!). The pool was amazing, and we had great fun sitting in the balcony and eating our meals together in the nice weather. The area is very quiet and peaceful at night, and the view of the sunset from the pool was incredible!

Maria was a great host, pro-active and available. She waited for us until after midnight as our flight was delayed. The house is wonderful, peaceful, quiet. Pool was great, bbq, kitchen well equipped.. really nice vacation!

The Villa was lovely, bedrooms downstairs and kitchen/living upstairs to take in the fabulous views from the balcony, the sea directly in front of you and mountains to the left. The outdoor area and pool were a good size and very clean. Our host Kseniia was excellent, we had issues were our car hire on arrival at the airport, she put us in touch with another company and ensured we arrived safely on the night, we needed a doctor during our stay and she helped us with that and mattress toppers for the beds, she was excellent at her job. There was a welcome tray of cold meats, cheese, olives and fruit in in the fridge with a bottle of Moët!!!!

A beautiful, unique house located in the city of Kavros, 20 minutes from the wonderful Rethymno, with some sandy beaches and greek taverns nearby. An exceptional place to stay in, everything was very clean and tidy ( a maid came once to replace all the sheets and clean the house), there was a lot of space for all of us (7 people). AC was installed in each of the rooms. There was every amenity we needed in the villa: kitchenware, coffee machines(with coffee and filters provided), a washing machine, bikes, cleaning supplies, sunbeds, pool floaters... Also many spices and teas. Drinking water was provided, as there was a water filter in one of the taps. Our children had a lot of fun in the outdoor pool, which was well- maintained and quite big. Our host was a wonderful, hospitable person, she prepared a local salad and some snacks and drinks for us when we arrived, recommended us some notable places to visit nearby and was always warm and helpful. We also received some discounts in a local family tavern, and good-bye gifts. We would totally recommend Pelagias villa for everybody interested in having a wonderful and memorable time on the beautiful island of Crete and meeting great and generous people.
