I came with a car that I was able to park on the property. I was met by the owner, who showed me and explained all the details for a pleasant stay. He really took his time with it. The food and drink that was prepared as a welcome was also a pleasant surprise. Orange juice, milk, beer, water, toast, ham, cheese, olives, sausage, desserts, olive oil, 4. various wines, coffee, tea, honey... But that's not all. On the third day, I was invited to an excellent dinner cooked by the owner. Outstanding hospitality. The owners are always available for advice or help. The apartment is spacious and clean with all things and accessories for a pleasant stay. The location is quiet and great for exploring the western part of Crete. I highly recommend it.

In a new, modern, sparkling clean house, you'll find anything you may need. Generous space inside, large and confortable terrace, a big and beautiful yard, very quiet neighborhood, villa placed next to a lot of olive trees and neighbors' garden. Although located in a very quiet place, it is quite closed to pharmacies, super markets and tavernas. Not at last, Martha, the owner, is one of kindest, prettiest, most friendly person that we ever met. For me and my family, Crete remains our dream destination, and , after three holidays here with three different accomodations, villa Martini is, definitely, the best one. See you next time, Martha!

Excellent location and friendly host. The apartment is highly equipped, clean, spacious and with a very nice terrace. The view to the sea and to the surroundings is lovely. The position is also good if you want to spend time in the western side of Crete.

The house, which consists of two apartaments, is very comfortable and well-equipped. Everything you need is certainly there. There 's a great space to relax outside. It's perfectly located - you can easily get to the top attractions such as famous beaches: Balos, Elafonisi, Falasarna or Samaria Gorge. The villa is wonderful and is located on a large property. The pool is beautiful, our children loved it. It is very well equipped and also an outside grill for barbecue is available. It is a good location to explore the most beautiful beaches of Crete such as Falassarna, Balos and Elafonissi. But also the nearby Trachilos beach, just about 10 (auto) minutes away, is an insider tip. Markets and bakeries are all in immediate vicinity towards Kissamos. The owner is very concerned about the service. We got a big fruit basket and olive oil - manufactured by himself - for welcome. Moreover, he made a present of meat variation for barbecue. In addition a cleaning lady is coming every couple of days. It was a very fantastic stay.

The Views: The house is located on top of the highest hill in the area. That means if you like unobstructed and massive views, this place is for you. From the ground floor (where there is a lovely patio and table to sit at near the front entrance), you have great views of the sea. The views from the second balcony are not like any other views I’ve seen in any other house in the world. You have a 200 degree unobstructed view of the landscape if you sit in a chair with a drink in your and and don’t move, and a 270 degree view if you walk around from corner to corner of the balcony. What’s more is that the views are of sea, hills and mountains! Look right, and you’ll see the sea and the peninsula fringed bay below. Look straight and you’l see the rolling hills covered in olive trees and white scattered villages. Look left and you’ll view up valley to light grey jagged mountains, with more villages dotting the landscape. The colors that move over this landscape from sunrise to sunset are stunning. After the sun goes down over the peninsula behind Kissamos, the sky turns to fire and glows the mountain ridge beautifully for 45 minutes as the colors compress into darkness and the stars come out. The Location: It’s 8 minutes away by car to the small village below where you can get almost anything you need from the family-run supermarket: produce, drinks, ice-cream and other basic food items. If you can’t find it there, drive 8 more minutes into Kissamos and find it at Synka. You are centrally located almost exactly between Balos Beach, Elafonisi Beach, Phalasarna Beach and the beautiful old town of Chania. All can be accessed in about 1 hour or less. There are many tavernas in the small villages near the house that are less than a 12 minute drive away. We went to a different one almost each night and they were all unique and amazing. Aris and Antonis: They are amazingly kind hosts who do everything to make your stay at their family home perfect.
