Ohakune
Accommodation features a seating area with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop. Some units feature a dining area and/or a patio. Very close to town. Included washer and dryer and laundry soap. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were late leaving, and the staff were very gracious about our problems.
Raurimu
All units are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, an oven, a kettle, a walk-in shower, a hair dryer and a wardrobe. The apartment complex features some units that have a balcony and mountain view, and units have a private bathroom and a outdoor furniture. At the apartment complex, every unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. Amazing location, very quiet and surrounded by nature. The river closeby...Idyllic.
Ohakune

An oven, a microwave and toaster are also available, as well as a kettle. At the apartment complex, every unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The location, the apartment itself was so spacious and modern with every amenity you could wish for.
National Park
Tongariro Estate has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in National Park, 16 km from Mount Ruapehu. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. The apartment features family rooms. The apartment we stayed in was toasty warm, with beautifully clean beds, bathrooms and kitchen. Parking was right outside and finding the place is a breeze. It also had all the little touches that make things easier, for example the kitchen had not just ample cooking equipment, but also basic condiments, sugar, salt oil...etc). Great hosts, they were super responsive, helpful and kind when contacted. We will definitely stay here again.
Raetihi
Set 30 km from Turoa, Cosy Studio Perfect for a Couple at Historic Town provides accommodation in Raetihi. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is located 50 km from Mount Ruapehu. Nice, clean, spacious place with easy access after-hours.

Ideal for short stays. It has a compostable toilet, for those who have never had experience it might be difficult to accept. It is fully equipped, it does not have a kitchen, just a microwave, a fridge and an external grill, it is better to get food that is not to be cooked on the stove, as if it rains the external grill cannot be used.
Excellent new apartments that are well furnished, clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for everything. Greeting as we arrived was friendly and welcoming and they were very helpful with some last minute changes.
This is a self catering, well equipped, modern apartment with two bedrooms (each with king sized beds - which can be separated as required). Nice shower/bathroom (no toileteries supplied). Very good laundry facilites in the apartment. Very convenient for the Tongariro national park and Tongariro Crossing.
Very welcoming and helpful man at the reception. Was great walking into a nice warm unit. Everything you could need for either a long or short stay was there. Was great having a washer and dryer available. Loved the décor. Parking undercover and room for the bikes was great, as well as a bike wash area. Great spas. Great location, and very quiet considering how close we were to the main road.
The heater was on when we got there, which was really pleasant to walk in to. A very tidy, quiet chalet with a loft for the sleeping area. Old school, but clean kitchen and bathroom.
Incredible location with stunning views from the property. The unit/apartment was clean and new. Beds were very comfortable. The shower was great. We had a washing machine and dryer which wss great after travelling a couple of days with a baby and 5yr old. It was great for our little family. Would definitely go back again and be happy to stay for longer than a night.
We had a two bedroom apartment which was cosy and clean. We liked the location which had a good variety of eating options around, and having ski rentals across the road helped.
This was such a cool location - it's in a historic town in a historic building. It was a really neat surprise. A modern apartment with some character, good essentials and great location. I really enjoyed it. It's not 5 star, but it's a beautiful character.

We arrived 2 hours before check in and the nice lady at the counter not only let us check in early but also upgraded are room to a 2 bedroom apartment from the studio I booked for my partner and our boy. Great hospitality and the units where clean and family friendly. I recommend for a family stay.
