Situated in Weligama, 200 metres from Weligama Beach, KUMA'S HOTEL features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a bar. The air-conditioned accommodation is 2.5 km from Abimanagama Beach. The apartment has family rooms. We stayed there for few night but wished it was more. The room was spacious, clean and freshly renovated. Air con was brand new, extra large bed extremely comfortable and water pressure was amazing too so morning showers were a bliss. The best room we stayed in our whole trip. Hotel is located off the beaten path so there was no street noise whatsoever. Mr Kumar organised our scooters from next door agent so we could move around the area freely. He also helped us with whale tour and getting a taxi to the airport at very reasonable price. Amazing stay! Wish we knew about this hidden jem sooner. A must stay!

With the untouched beautiful beach within 20 metres from our balcony i could hear the waves crashing in the bed. Very nice balcony, comfortable huge bed …. Only local people around. Peace. Long walks. Great food cooked by our host’s family. Great coffee! Best in Sri Lanka. We did not leave the neighbourhood and extended our stay to 6 nights. Hope to come back…..

Towels and bed linen are featured in the apartment. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. This was truly a hidden gem in Matara. The place is super clean and nice, the kind hosts were very helpful and supportive. This place had fully equipped kitchen (Microwave, Hot Plate, Electric Kettle, Juice Maker, Refrigerator and all the kitchen equipment you could ever want), There were two rooms which was super clean. Also this place had an Electric iron and there were Washing machine (we didn't use the washing machine) although the place is bit far from town, It is in close proximity to Polhena beach, which is a very beautiful beach. My first impression and stay at the place is not 10 out of 10, but 100 out of 10 ❤️. Highly recommend place and will definitely visit again.

So many great food and cafe options close by! Loved walking to the beach and swimming everyday. Chamil is a friendly and responsive host (picked me up from train station and offered to show me around). The WiFi was one of the main reasons I picked this place and it worked really well for video calls and work - never had any issue. The place is larger and had more amenities than I expected (or really needed) including strong AC, great pressure shower, washing machine (no detergent), and full kitchen.
