The pictures make the apartment look dark, this is because the glass is tinted to keep the heat out (the balcony receives afternoon sun). I need sunlight so we had the door open but it was not bad when closed. Note: you need a key fob to enter the building grounds and to use the elevator. As we stayed for five nights, we were given two sets of keys.
