For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
First and foremost, it's a hostel so set your expectations accordingly. Staff was very accommodating. Private room was clean. Shower was clean. Deck area looked nice (didn't stay long enough to actually enjoy it). Very close to Yosemite Big Oak Flat entrance.
We had a super nice two days with Brittany and Chris.
I fell in love with the little (big) Chas (dog).
There was a super delicious breakfast every day, which was freshly prepared.
You felt very comfortable and welcome.
It was a great end to our three-week trip to the USA.

Location was great, this house is located in a gated community with gold courses, a lake and more. We stayed there to go to Yosemite for several days, which is still a 40 min drive to the Big Oak Flat (West) Entrance, after which it is still an hour drive to Yosemite Valley. Although quite far to drive several days, we didn't mind as much as the drive there is scenic. The house is big and has great amenities, the kitchen is fully stocked even with Tupperware which was great to bring snacks.
Great location, close to the Big Oak Flat entrance of Yosemite. Very comfortable beds and living area, and a great price based on other similar accommodations we saw. Easy check-in process, and zero complaints overall, would definitely stay again!
We loved the location and the attention to detail in the apartment! Very thoughtful, comfortable place to stay for visiting Yosemite. Amazing remote check-in system.
The lodge is close to the Big Oak Flat entrance, just a short 15mins drive. The room was spacious with 2 beds and fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The staff were friendly and let us know where to eat and gave us a map of the area.
The outside area at Westgate has a children’s play park and behind the lodge was perfect for stargazing at night.
The apartment is spacious and very well thought out with lots of amenities and thoughtful touches. The bathroom in particular is beautiful decorated with lovely bath products. The dining area has a table and snacks which are perfect for days out- trail bars and bananas. The lounge area was very comfortable with recliners and blankets.
It's spacious and more than comfortable enough for longer stays. The hosts were really accommodating and we were lucky enough to do a Yosemite Valley Tour with them too which was the highlight of our trip.
