The location is perfect if you intend to visit Valletta repeatedly or if you intend to make use of the Maltese bus system as both are within easy walking distance. You're similar distances to the Sliema and Three City ferries. The room was excellent - massive high ceilings, abundant space, huge bed, nice small kitchen. The air conditioning and sound-proofing made the room quite comfortable, the WiFi was just as good as what I have at home, and the hot tub was an unexpected added bonus. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and affable. I made only limited uses of his suggestions and inputs because I'd already done extensive research and made a lot of plans but I suspect someone could come off the plane with no preparations at all about what they would be doing in Malta and be able to whip up a very satisfactory holiday package just from the information the owner provided in person and via texts. This was entirely beyond what I was expecting and makes me even more favourable in my feelings towards 8vilhena. I've made a lot of bookings through this website over the years and upon reflection, I would rate 8vilhena in the top tier - I would say the top three places I have stayed.
Il-Furjana

Great place to stay in an old Maltese building. It was clean and very well equipped. The location is great, in a lovely neighborhood and only a short walk from Valletta. Dario is a wonderful host, who looked after us and gave lots of recommendations also for restaurants, shops and places to visit. Would definitely recommend it and book again.
