Gallery Compass felt like home away from home in Higashiosaka! It's a standard apartment space, maybe a 1LDK (?). It has a separate bedroom, a living room with tatami, a dining area and wonderfully equipped kitchen! They have a dishwasher! (We only stayed for a night so we didn't cook.) For a group of 5, we fit comfortably in the apartment - 3 friends slept in the living room with futons provided and my husband and I slept in the bedroom. There was enough space for everyone to hang out together and to go into for privacy. We loved how clean and tidy the space was, and for the price of our stay for one night was very well worth it! The closest station (Yaenosato) is 5 min walk away. Convenient! Our hosts were very prompt with communication - all in Japanese, but that can be easily translated on an app!. The day before, I had asked the hosts if we could come by early to leave our luggage and check in later at the listed time. They were very gracious to allow us to check in at the time we came to leave our things. This is not the usual policy with most accommodations I had stayed in, so I was pleasantly surprised! Our host met us at the front of the building when we didn't really know where to look. He let us in the apartment and gave us the keys. With the help of a translator app, my broken Nihongo and gestures, we could communicate! We covered all the basic house rules and decided what time breakfast will be the next morning. They had signs displayed with some English too (eg.: don't fold the futon and put it back in the closet on the day you're leaving). Then our lovely hostess made breakfast for us. It was served at the café at the ground floor. It was a lovely, light meal of salad, scrambled eggs and bacon, served with either coffee or tea. We also got 2 rounds of toast with butter! Will definitely stay here again when we come visit Osaka again!

This was a lovely place to stay in. The host was very accomodating when we needed an extra night. The space is comfortable and clean. Little things like the extra towels provided make a difference. It is off the main roads so you will not see many tourists.

This was such a perfect experience! The house was exactly the same as the pictures showed on booking, very spacious, well decorated, just a very soothing atmosphere. Had 3 room, enough pravicy even for a party of 3 people. Had everything needed for everyday life like microwave, stove, kettle, washing machine etc. Air-conditioners worked perfectly, kept us warm against the cold weather. Futons were very clean and soft and comfortable, had some best night sleeps. Bathtub is deep and made of metal, very suitable for taking a hot water bath. The homeowner was also very active in responding and communicating through the chat room on booking, which made us feel cared and safe. Not the closest to the railway station, but within a 10 min walk, nothing to complain about. Stairway to the house was a bit steep, need to climb with caution. All in all, just a very satisfying homestay experience. Would recommend to travellers in Osaka who are looking for an authentic and ecomonic Japanese homestay! Would come back again if given chance! Top notch property. Had an amazing stay at Ash Court. Ash made it swanky clean when we arrived. Every single thing was in place and nicely articulated. We didn’t have any issues locating the apartment or to check in.. everything was super simple. All thanks to Ash for following up with me back and forth before our arrival and making sure we have complete check-in information handy. Apartment was just 150mtrs from Gamo-4-Chome subway station. Lots of eateries around and a market next door which offers variety of foods. Family mart and Lawson stores are within 100mtrs proximity. WiFi was pretty decent but yes we had difficulties connecting at the first place. Cleaning guys came the last day at sharp 10am and I had witnessed their deep cleaning process - pretty amazing! Futon beds were super comfy and we didn’t even touch the actual queen size beds as we loved the comforts of futons. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a decent size apartment in Osaka prefecture. Simply stunning and value for money! Thank you Ash and much love from India.
