It has a lovely location, with excellent views over the Banff beach, sea and coastline. The property is very clean and has all of the required facilities required for a lovely self-catering stay. Teresa was a wonderful and friendly host, who also provided a tasty home-baked cake, along with bread and milk to start us off. Thanks again for a brilliant, comfortable stay and we can’t wait to return.

Lovely wee room....noisy at night with traffic but I am over sensitive to noise. Comfy bed. Great chairs and kitchen area. Staff left a party to sort TV....but wifi non existent. Staff amazing at Royal Oak x

The cottage was very recently modernised and was spotlessly clean. We arrived on a very rainy, windswept evening and were so relieved to enter a warm and welcoming house. We found the supplies that came with the house to be better than most. The view from the living room window was fabulous and the location, overlooking the rocky shoreline, was really lovely and peaceful. The owner was courteous and helpful.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.

If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place then The Sail Loft is it.
The location is perfect, the experience was a pleasure, I wish I could have stayed longer. Has everything a traveller could need, the staff are so welcoming.
I have already recommended the sail loft to friends.
Silk Room was exceptional and the ensuite massive. Staff member Ethan gave us a tour of the house providing the history, explaining the paintings and letting us see the full beauty of the house.
The Sail loft was is a beautifully restored old building in an amazing location...so close to the sea I could hear the waves at night! Irene was so welcoming and helpful and went out of her way to make my stay great. I loved my room which was so cosy, clean and warm and there is a log burner in the lounge for those cold wintery evenings! Lots of lovely coastal walks nearby too. Great value for money I would definitely return.
