This modern ground-floor apartment is situated in Wester Ross in the crofting community of Big Sand. It is 4 miles west of Gairloch and 5 minutes from the local beach. It is 1 and half hours drive west from Inverness and 62 miles from Ullapool.

We loved the location and views, right near the beach for walks, beautiful mountain view right out your windows and door. A lovely lawn to spend time on. The apartment was very comfortable and cozy, bright and cheerful decor, perfect for a couple. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, hospitable, and very helpful.

    We had a spacious suite which was more like an apartment with a little kitchen (no fridge), living room, bedroom and bathroom. The view was to the ocean. There was onsite parking and meals available downstairs

    Location and views amazing, on the flat to appreciate sea front, all staff genuinely friendly, very large room, massive bed (biggest on the whole NC500), good food with a mix of alternatives to fish, Hugh portions. Good breakfast. Not a boutique style decorated hotel but finished to a high standard compared to other hotels stayed in on this trip. Would like to return for a summer beach holiday.

    The location was superb right on the banks of the Loch and the views from the restaurant and bar were great. Someone even spotted porpoises in the bay. We were given one of the self catering apartments as they were fully booked and this was big and modern and very comfortable. The meal in the evening was delicious and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

    The loft apartment is very well decorated and furnished. The owners live below and are on hand if you want any assistance, but are not at all intrusive. The location is very rural and peaceful with spectacular views. We loved the museum at Gairloch and would highly recommend a visit.
