Amazing view, great appartment spacious and plesant, superb location. I was afraid about lack of AC, especially that we stayed during a heat wave of above 30 degrees, but the appartment was cool and at night the temp outside was bearable so you can sleep with open window and not be too hot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apartment Lauberhorn. The unit was easy to find, and the check-in process was very smooth. The views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley were just amazing and you would be hard pressed to find better accommodations with the views we had from this unit. This unit had its own covered carport space so we never had to find or pay for a place to park. We had a car but if you are not driving, there is a very convenient bus stop in front of the complex. The bathroom was very clean. The shower was huge and worked well. Every appliance in this unit worked well. We were pleased that it was easy to operate the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer in the unit without needing an instruction manual. Most clothes washers and dryers in Europe work very poorly. This is the first place in many places we stayed where the clothes washer and dryer were fantastic! It took very little effort to wash and dry all our clothes. This is a beautiful place and the host was great and responsive! We would definitely look to stay here again if we return to this area again someday!

Loved this place! It’s conveniently located right at a bus stop so it’s easy to bring luggage, but it’s only a short 15-20 min walk to the station. The flat itself is very clean, spacious and comfortable, and has gorgeous views of the cliffs and valley. It was perfect to return to after a day of adventuring!

Everything, including the location of the chalet and views. For the first in Europe, stay in the chalet felt like home from home. Overall experience was much better than I expected. We have enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the trains after we returned in the evening. Rebecca was the perfect host, and she has provided everything we need during our stay. For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
We loved the location of this apartment! The scenery was breath-taking and the surroundings were so peaceful. The cable car to Gimmelwald is just across the street and each day we could watch paragliders landing in the field nearby. The apartment itself was just what we were looking for. Being able to wash and dry our clothes was so helpful, and the kitchen had all that we needed to make dinner and relax in the evening.
Diane was a lovely helpful host, nothing was too much trouble. Having a well equipped kitchen for guests was also a real bonus, to allow self catering. The house was warm, comfortable and excellent value for money.
The Alpenhof comes highly recommended by guide book authors, the late Kev Reynolds (Cicerone/UK) and Rick Steves (USA) and hosts Diane and Marc look after you in the most warm and friendly way. Other guests spoke of returning year after year for extended stays which is a testament to both of them and also their charming, traditional Swiss B&B with its additional self catering kitchen. The location is so peaceful, with hikes from the door, but still within easy reach of all the amenities of Murren and Lauterbrunnen.
