Really loved The Crown at Benson & it certainly exceeded our expectations as I don't think the photos online really do it justice as the place is much nicer in the flesh. We were hiking the Thames Path and this was one of the villages on route. The staff & owners are lovely - really warm & welcoming - the rooms were fab and even though the bathroom was small they seemed to make good use of space and for only 1 night, it was fine. Breakfast was very good too - all freshly cooked & good quality ingredients. The owners really care about this small hotel / pub & it certainly shows - thank you!

The George Hotel is a 16th-century coaching inn situated in the center of the historic market town of Wallingford. With seasonal bistro dining, it is also a 20 minute drive from Oxford. The staff was incredibly friendly. The location was ideal. I enjoyed both a delicious dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The building is old, which gives it charm but it has modern updates which make it comfortable and cozy.
