Bodmin Jail Hotel 4 stars

Bodmin

Situated in Bodmin, 31 km from Newquay Train Station, Bodmin Jail Hotel features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We liked the room size and the bathroom size and fixtures and the very cool architectural adaptation of the space. Everyone has done a great job and the hotel felt brand new (it is almost four years old). Breakfast buffet and menu combination was excellent and the service was cheerful. A perfect hotel experience. Also, the staff were very hospitable and helpful.

Driftwood

Porthscatho

Offering a highly acclaimed restaurant and a private beach area, Driftwood is located in Truro, 4 miles from the Roseland Heritage Coast Sight. Free Wi-Fi access is available. We had a lovely time at Driftwood. The staff were wonderful and the food was the best we had on our trip to Cornwall - we had the tasting menu at lunchtime and sat on the terrace with the incredible views. Breakfast was also included which was a welcome change to some similar style hotels! The room was very comfortable and had a nice sea view. It was just a short walk down to the beach (and a short walk along the cliff top to the Hidden Hut). We were lucky with the weather so had a great time relaxing in the garden with a drink, but in the evenings sat in the bar and played board games. We will be back!
