Portland, you're a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of my beloved Calgary with your mellow pace of life. Yet, you offer a gentle winter, free from the icy grip that defines our seasons. Your embrace of the LGBTQ community and the effortless kindness of your residents have been a revelation, challenging the media's portrayal with a beautiful reality. A heartfelt shoutout to Moxy Portland Downtown for their uniquely fabulous vibe and warm hospitality. You've been the highlight of our journey. As we conclude our road trip across the US Pacific Northwest, it's clear—Portland, you're the perfect finale. 🌲✨

We enjoyed the area around our hotel, very much.
We enjoyed the area around our hotel, very much. It was the Northwest section of Portland. It was by Old Town and by China Town. It was also close to the waterway path, along the River. It felt safe. It felt up-lifting.

I enjoyed the city however do not recommend walking at night downtown. The Ghost tour was not worth the time however the restaurants and food trucks were amazing. Highly recommend Hawthorne Asylum Food Cart Pod and the Japanese Gardens.

Enjoyed the nature and greenery.
Enjoyed the nature and greenery. Went to Providence Park for Timbers soccer match and would highly recommend. I liked Washington Park with the Japanese Gardens and Rose Test Gardens. Liked walking around Powell's Books. Really enjoyed walking around NW District neighborhood, and eating at Sweet Bacon Cafe and Scottie's Pizza Parlor. Recommend staying at Inn at Northrup Station in NW District or the Tiny Digs Hotels in Kerns neighborhood in East Portland. Enjoyed Screen Door restaurant at East Portland. Trail Blazers Basketball game at Moda Center was fine.
There is a lot of homeless and possible drug use around downtown Pearl District. Never felt threatened or in danger but definitely need to be cautious.

We had a wonderful adventure in Portland including seeing the "Troll" which was the last one of the 6 in the Northwest for us!! We also enjoyed the Pittock Mansion tour and Washington Park. It was all in all a beautiful stay and adventure.
The staff was so friendly and helpful and even let us check into our room several hours early. We enjoyed the free waters and pineapple cookies and took advantage of the $10 daily snack cart credit. We didn’t have time to take advantage of the bikes but that was a nice option to have. Parking was on site and was cheaper than most downtown hotel options. The hotel felt very safe despite being in a rough looking downtown neighborhood. I also liked their cute pineapple theme throughout.
Friendly, helpful, and knowledge staff. Easy freeway access, only a few min drive to downtown, Pearl District, and Old Town. Free coffee all day. Free and ample parking, dog friendly. Indoor slippers, bench for luggage/putting on shoes, and black makeup towels are a nice touch. Deluxe King room is bigger than the picture shows and has a nicely equipped kitchen with a full size fridge. Sound proofing between rooms is better than expected.
Doubletree Hotels are generally great with consistent facilities. My friend and I were traveling to visit family and this hotel was recommended as it was close to her family. The room was huge - very spacious. We also had a room with a view of downtown Portland which was lovely. The hotel security was excellent. You had to use a room key to even enter the lobby most of the time. The elevators were fast.
With the heatwave our plan to have the dog sleep in the car went out the window. The hotel recognized the exceptional circumstances and allowed us to have her in the room even though they normally don't allow pets. They have great common areas, especially the roof area which has great views of downtown Portland. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. This will be on my list for next trip up to Portland.
The hotel is lovely (super comfy beds and cozy rooms!) with a beautiful interior with periodic character, and we had a wonderful time there. The location is perfect for a short stay in Portland, and offers a valet service for those with a car. We stayed there as part of our honeymoon trip back in October and received best in class service from the Hotel Manager, Mr. Jean Marc and his team.
Fun boutique hotel in Pearl District. Excellent hotel where they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. They offered repeatedly to assist with any needs to grumbling online about any small details seems entirely inappropriate.
Room with functional kitchen in downtown Portland during transition out of Covid was appreciated.
Spacious and very modern room at a good price compared with competition in downtown Portland. Very helpful staff and nice mix of guests. Lower price on west side of building due to proximity to major construction on facing block made sense. Some excellent shops in easy walking distance, and very convenient to upscale Pearl District.
The hostel is at a perfect location that is equally close to Washington Park, downtown and the train station, so perfect if you plan on walking. It was also one of the less sketchy neighborhoods of Portland so I felt a bit more safe walking back. The staff was nice, the breakfast bagel was a nice touch.
Everything! This hotel is so cute and located in the heart of downtown. The staff went over and above to accommodate us since we arrived early. They were all so friendly. We came downstairs in the evening to get a snack and had the best desserts! Thank you so much and we'll be back!
The room was clean, and all the services worked as promised. The shower was probably the best I have seen in a lot of time. Complementary canned water. The location was great, very close to the subway/tram lines and all the major attractions in Downtown Portland.
This hotel is great. Staff are professional and friendly. Very clean. Nice gym and other facilities. Unfortunately, the location is not ideal as downtown Portland feels somewhat unsafe. Not the hotels fault of course, but something to consider if staying here.
The staff is great; super friendly and very professional. The location is alright, walkable distance to a lot of things to see/do in downtown Portland (we left the car parked on site as we thought everything was walkable anyways). Room is basic but very clean.
This was an amazing little hotel right in downtown Portland. Quick walk to pretty much anywhere. Very safe with key cards to get into the building, up the stairs, and into the elevator. The rooftop lounge was great and never very busy. Loved it!
Modern and fresh, in the heart of downtown Portland. Felt safe and secure, and the hotel is sticking to Covid-safe practices. Would love to come back again with my family.
