The price was right, though I wasn’t expecting it to be picture perfect, I’m
Ok with bare bones with a little character, sadly this room was super dirty and could use some basic maintenance that would take very little time and effort. There were belongings from a previous guest in the dresser drawers, food left in the refrigerator, torn up carpets and the ceiling was very stained and looked like it could crumble at any moment. Cherry on top of the cake was stepping on a chunk of glass. Really wanted to like my stay a bit more.

We enjoyed the area around our hotel, very much. It was the Northwest section of Portland. It was by Old Town and by China Town. It was also close to the waterway path, along the River. It felt safe. It felt up-lifting.

I enjoyed the city however do not recommend walking at night downtown. The Ghost tour was not worth the time however the restaurants and food trucks were amazing. Highly recommend Hawthorne Asylum Food Cart Pod and the Japanese Gardens.

Enjoyed the nature and greenery. Went to Providence Park for Timbers soccer match and would highly recommend. I liked Washington Park with the Japanese Gardens and Rose Test Gardens. Liked walking around Powell's Books. Really enjoyed walking around NW District neighborhood, and eating at Sweet Bacon Cafe and Scottie's Pizza Parlor. Recommend staying at Inn at Northrup Station in NW District or the Tiny Digs Hotels in Kerns neighborhood in East Portland. Enjoyed Screen Door restaurant at East Portland. Trail Blazers Basketball game at Moda Center was fine.
There is a lot of homeless and possible drug use around downtown Pearl District. Never felt threatened or in danger but definitely need to be cautious.

If you have to stay over night AVOID the
airport Shilo Inn!!

We had a wonderful adventure in Portland including seeing the "Troll" which was the last one of the 6 in the Northwest for us!! We also enjoyed the Pittock Mansion tour and Washington Park. It was all in all a beautiful stay and adventure.
The location of this hotel is very good, having walked arround Portland it was clear that we were in one of the best places. Our room was okay, although a strange layout, we looked out onto the street. There was a free wine and cheese reception for guests in the lobby area, obviously very popular. The staff were very helpful and curtious. Car parking was directly under the hotel and secure.
Location is fabulous, near the Pearl District, close to the tram to the airport and to Washington Park.
Rooms are small but very comfortable and we had a great view from the 7th floor over Portland.
The restaurant is outstanding and I think this might be the best breakfast in town, incredible quality!
One of the best and believe or not, cheapest hotel, we ever stayed at in USA. Perfect location, in downtown Portland and one block away from the well known, Powell’s City of Books. Nice room with a beautiful bathroom.
Parking garage paid extra, but it wasn’t so much compared to other hotels.
Had a fridge, big bed and tv we could connect an HDMI cord too. Nice to be close to the hwy to town. The homeless are around but I would say that its a big problem anywhere in portland and even if you stayed in hotels downtown there would be the same problem.
Convenient modern hotel near the Portland Airport and sharing a free shuttle bus with the Sheraton next door. The location is quiet except for the occasional airplane on the runway we could see outside our window. The included breakfast was okay.
This is the second time we have stayed at Dossier. It's a beautiful hotel, well-run, and the beds are comfortable. Nice amenities and very large bathrooms. Great views of downtown Portland from the rooms. The staff is professional and helpful.

The hotel is in a nice downtown location in easy walking distance to many shops. The room was spacious and attractive. Really liked the full sized pillows and the dual head shower.
