Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The place offers an authentic ryokan experience with kaiseki onsen and wonderful Japanese decoration and furnishings. Excellent staff!

Oyado Tsukiusagi offers Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi, within a 10-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine. Some rooms come with sea views, and all have a private bathroom. Fantastic stay! The lady who runs the ryokan is very kind and helpful, always with a smile. She doesn't speak English, but magically understands any need. Very large room, very comfortable bed. Lovely place!

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Staying here was like entering another world. We were picked up by a very friendly and helpful driver who pointed out points of interest on the way up to the house on the hill. There we were greeted by a lovely lady who escorted us into the lobby were a friendly, young man checked us in. The lovely lady then escorted us up to our room and showed us were everything was, made us tea and made sure we had fitting yukatas to wear. The room was very spacious with an incredible view over to the iconic "floating" Tori gate. We spent our first our just sitting on the window sill with our tea taking in the breathtaking scenery. Dinner was an adventure of most excellent Japanese cuisine. The private onsen was lovely. It is a hop and a skip down some steps into the village and down to the sea and I recommend a walk at twilight and night to really enjoy the place before the daytripping crowds come in the morning. The staff were so nice and helpful and on the day of departure they offered us to leave our luggage with them while we went for a hike and when it was time to leave we could simply call them from the port and the driver brought it down from the hill in the little car. I would love to stay here again. Just perfect!

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. The attention to detail at this resort was impeccable, as was the quality of service. It is perfectly situated, being far enough away from the crowds, but within easy walking distance of the Torii gate, the "downtown" area, and the ropeway station for the ride up the mountain. Adjacent to the facility is a picturesque stream with the quintessential red colored pedestrian bridge. Be sure to sign up for the delicious breakfast and dinner; the same meal enjoyed by the heads of state at the recent G7 Summit held here. I will definitely be returning with my spouse to bask in the peace and tranquility of Miyajima.

Only a 1-minute walk from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, Yamaichi Bekkan features accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Yukata robes are provided for all guests. Perfect location, staff amazingly nice and pleasant. The food was also delicious.

Located at Miyajima and featuring beautiful views of the five-story pagoda of Itsukushima Shrine, Ryoso Kawaguchi offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The single room was really nice, big and cosy with a garden view. Location was perfect, an easy walk from the ferry and in the middle of everything. Very nice breakfast, Japanese and continental. Fantastic dinner. The owner really made me feel at home, thanks again.

The public bath was refreshing and the staff was very helpful. At check-in they gave us tickets for a sample momijimanju, a sort of waffle-like sweet with various fillings.

Great place to stay! They serve a traditional Japanese breakfast. They also do dinner but advance reservation is required. I don’t recall seeing that as an option when booking so I assume you call ahead if you are wanting dinner. Dining options are limited in the evening on the island.
