Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Puerto RicoI would have liked to have more frequent maid service, every three to four days instead of seven. However, if I needed service, the staff would immediately respond. The tub was very slippery. Dangerous for everyone, but specially for seniors and people with special needs. Maybe grab bars would help. The rugs (hallways and rooms). I didn't know or trust if they were clean enough. The hotel was very far away from everything. Maybe shuttle service for shopping or site visiting. However, I acknowledge that references for independent taxi and car services were provided.
Staff was incredibly nice and attentive. They were very tuned in to our needs. I liked the possibility of accommodation for a big family group. Breakfast was a plus. (And very good also.) The shop and the laundry were a life saver, specially when traveling with a family member that needs special care. The rooms/suites were beyond expectations. They were very well sound insulated. This is the second Sonesta hotel I've stayed in (Sonesta Capital Hill, Washington DC was the first) and I have liked it very much. I know these are very different hotels, but service is great.

United StatesMissed the extras like hooks on backs of doors (bathrooms). A little wall mirror in the bathroom for makeup. There were no where near enough outlets in the rooms. It was rather dated. Some stains on the carpet that were quite large.

United StatesThe handle to the bathtub wasn’t on all the way. You can easily take the handle off. I had to keep it off to turn the water on and off. The toilet seat had peeling yellow stains.
Staff was really Friendly and the king suite was nice sized. Living room and kitchenette was nice.

United StatesThe hotel is showing its age. Some things are damaged, broken or missing. Breakfast was small, but met my expectations. The problem is it ends fairly early 830 AM. Sleeping in even a little is not an option. The location makes sense for people who are traveling to the Chrysler plant for an extended stay, but for a family on a vacation, there is not much else. There needs to be a grocery store within walking distance since a kitchen is provided in each suite.
The fully stocked kitchen was great, the beds were super comfortable and the room upgrade because of overbooking was a pleasant surprise. The pool and patio were very nice, and having two separate bedrooms was absolutely perfect. For the money, i have not seen better.

United StatesI wish I would have paid closer attention to the fact that the pool was outdoors, which meant it was closed at the time of year I was there. A pool was a priority item for my daughter.
I can recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. It was a great combination of good location, great value and a well maintained property. Breakfast was above what many hotels offer as well.

JapanBreakfast could be nicer (adding cheese options). And air conditioner unit was very noisy at my unit.
Spacious room with nice garden view, next to gas station with convenience store. Rooms have amenities for self catering such as a stove, kitchen utensils, and a good sized fridge. Staff was very kind to attend my requests. Would stay again for my next visit.

United StatesI was in room 301 which was a long way from the elevator and I have had two knee surgeries so that was very inconvenient. I don't understand why there is only one elevator. I was under the impression that there was a hot breakfast and there wasn't but that wasn't so awful, at least there was food. Since your not a full service hotel you had to go to front desk to ask for anything and when i called first, no one would answer. I had to use my cellphone. But the price and the actual room was excellent. Hallways were very clean. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and just warn them about the elevator, lol! Thank you!
The room was a nice size....and it was immaculately clean.
