Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaCurbside appeal was not good, dirty windows, covered in some odd paper, the black paint was filthy, cigarette buts. Bathroom doors were in the way, should be a pocket door. The air/cologne smell pumped in the bar and lobby was so over whelming, it gave us both headaches. Our mattress was older, not good support anymore.
Location, color scheme was great. Curbside appeal was not good, dirty windows, covered in some odd paper, the black paint was filthy, cigarette buts.

BelgiumWe had to give our credit card information during check in and they charged an extra $26 dollars while we didn’t spend anything. We had to cal and it took a week before we got it back so just make a double check to see if they didn’t charge you extra.
The room was very nice and clean, the bed was great and bathroom too. The room was also very quiet and you only had to walk 5 minutes to the power and light district which was very handy.

LatviaIt is difficult to get from the centre to the riverside for a walk and to return. Some information should be more available because of the complicated road system in a city.

United States of AmericaI think you could do an upgrade on the rooms. I stayed there about four years ago and they're the same but I always like the beds but I could be a little more luxurious.
I love the location and mastalgia of the originality of the hotel. Usually the people are nice but we did have a grouchy one when we checked in.

United States of AmericaHonestly it was very expensive for just a hotel room for the price I kind of expected room service or at least a free water bottle. Plus 39 dollars a night to park your car. I can’t decide if the price and luxury of the hotel are equal.
The location was great, the hotel was super cute and had old charm. We were on the 18th floor which gave us an awesome view. Walking distance to some restaurants.

United States of AmericaWe had a housekeeping issue that was reported on the second morning of our trip that was not resolved during our stay. The Speakeasy only had live music one night. Would recommend they add additional nights
The front staff were very helpful. The shuttle and the drivers were great. Shout out to Eboni, Michaela, Hassan and Ethan. Loved the Speakeasy.

United States of AmericaIt was a busy weekend so getting to our room later in the evening was difficult because the elevators are small. Check-out was the same. The check-out time was fine but actually getting down to the lobby with our bags was a slow process because of the size of the elevators. The only solution that might ever work would be to stagger the check-out times by floor. The charm and beauty of the property more than made up for this MINOR inconvenience.
The front desk and valet staff were absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. Everyone we encountered was so kind and welcoming.

United States of AmericaI booked a standard king room but when we checked in the said they overbooked and had to downgrade us to a petite queen. The room was very small and the bed was obviously not a king size which is what I wanted
I loved how close it was to the music hall. Less than a 5 minute walk. The view of downtown was great.
