Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe two bartenders that happen to be there the night we were there were not friendly at all. They both shamed annoyed to be working and had no personality or smiles to give to anybody not just us. They were rushing guests out of the bar because they wanted to leave at 10 even though it was quite busy. My advice would be to have a flexible hours in the event that happens to be busy. Why couldn’t they stay open a little later? At least a half a dozen people showed up just before 10 PM and the bartenders weren’t happy because they wanted to leave at 10. They refuse to serve them any liquor drinks, and would only give them beer or wine with an irritated look on their face the entire time. You’re gonna be a bartender shouldn’t you be smiling and engaging with the guest especially if as a face of the company.
The style and all the features and games in roof deck were amazing wonderful bar.

United States of America$35 for parking is ridiculous. Especially if it’s not posted anywhere. Also the background music in the bar/lobby area is too loud. Couldn’t communicate with the bartender because of the music. City view from my room included homeless people living in their car.
New and clean.

United States of AmericaValet was basically the only real option, and was terrible. Lost our keys once, was not timely, couldn’t call down ahead to bring car up. Was not worth 35$ a night
Great lobby and outdoor space on the 6th floor

United States of AmericaThe beds aren’t comfortable and the niche weird lanterns are easy to bump into (I’m a small woman so hitting it is unavoidable for larger ppl)
Fun & funky building with great staff and excellent location. The beds need work but otherwise it’s a great deal and good ppl.

United States of AmericaLack of a regular chair for sitting. This hotel is not suitable for people of somewhat limited mobility. The beds are high and the storage is under the bed for clothes and suitcases. Also access to public transportation is limited and/ or expensive.
The lobby area and outdoor terrace were both bright, inviting , and offered different seating areas along with some tables, computers, and games. The room was small but efficient. The bathroom was quite nice.

United States of AmericaI understand the concept of the hotel, but felt the room was small. No place to put suitcases, no refrigerator, no chair to even sit on . We felt the distance to main area of Charleston was far, we needed to Uber everyday back and forth . Bar closed too early

United States of AmericaThe rooms were lovely but very small- there were no closets and very little floor space so it was hard to maneuver around each other and there was almost no surface space. It was also an unwelcome surprise that there was a loud DJ party on the roof deck during the day that made it impossible to spend time up there out of the tiny room
The clean and modern rooms - beautiful roof deck

United States of AmericaThere was not an accessible parking lot. My friends and I were kind of "forced" to pay for valet, $35/night.
I like the way the hotel was designed. Modern yet aesthetic. The Starbucks on site is a bonus.

United States of AmericaThe check in being on the 6th floor was a weird choice. We had to go up from the 1st floor to check in, and then go back down to the third floor. Just seems counterproductive. The valet was also set up in an odd way, which made getting the car a bit tricky and very time consuming. The price for the value wasn’t there.
All of the space in the hotel room was thoughtfully used. The look of the whole building was very trendy and cute. The woman at the check in area was wonderful.

United States of AmericaThe room set up was too bizarre for me. No chairs. 2 beds on platforms facing foot to foot… the beds were sideways with only one way to enter the bed. So I had to climb over my husband in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom… and again when I woke up in the morning. No bedside tables. No place to set up charging station. No place for a glass of water. Literally nothing but beds.
