The entire toilet moved up and down ( I weigh less than 130 lbs) Both bath towels were frayed the entire length of each.

Rooms don't have a great view.The bathroom had a strange odor from the drain. And hot water was not available at all times. Also had requested for a higher floor a month ago and early check in but was told at the reception that it is only a request and cannot be assured although online we were told that they will look into our request. Also staff showed no sign of any effort being made and although they informed us that they would call us to let us know if early check in was possible they did not do so from period of baggage drop off till 3 pm that efforts were made and it was not possible. Also breakfast although not hot breakfast did not have options there were waffles bagels that did not seem fresh. Should have had more options considering the price.

The best part of the hotel is the location. Room and beds were clean and comfortable. Also water and soda was complementary and limitless. Also I had a special request for hot water for which a kettle was provided at request. The lounge on the 15th floor was nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Hotel is ok for a short stay and if you want to do new york sites and tour.

It's advertised as a 4-star hotel, but not sure how it's qualified to be 4 star. The housekeeping was not great, and always late, they didn't re-stock the minibar to replace the free water. Although to be fair, once we asked for it, it was quickly provided. WiFi signal was poor in our kids room, and although the signal was strong in our room, the speed was very slow. The king room was kind of small, but the double room was quite spacious. Finally, most annoyingly, the Terrace which is a big feature of this hotel, was "closed for a private function" on 2 of the 3 days we were there. Not cool.

Excellent location on Park Ave & 30th; friendly staff handling a hotel which was very full (I think they had 100% occupancy). Nice touch that water and soda in the mini-bar are free. Our kids had a double room which was quite roomy. The terrace on the 15th floor is a nice place; people who stay at the hotel should make use of it.

Elevators during breakfast make it difficult to get downstairs. Took stairs but exit was partly blocked by stuff, which could be a safety hazard.

My room had lots of things that needed maintenance. There was a broken shelf in the bathroom. There was a missing shade in the bedroom, so sleeping in was not an option because sun poured into the room. A decommissioned mini fridge was in the room, empty and unusable. The bathroom shower glass was not clean. That was just the room. The hallways are also grungy. It’s clear the management isn’t interested in maintaining details that would otherwise make this hotel a gem. The “free” breakfast (that is actually paid for with the resort fee) is sad——some tasteless scrambled eggs and a whole bunch of wholesale bulk pastries. It seems like this hotel was special when it opened and now is just tired due to a lack of upkeep where it matters.

Loved the location and the overall vibe of the hotel. Rooftop terrace is lovely.

The bed was hard, and so was the pillow I slept on. Unfortunately, I didn't check the other pillows, which were soft. The room size is small--perfect for one person. Two would have been tight.

The continental breakfast could have been better, no selection of bacon/meats/protein. Thin-ish walls, you could hear people coming and going which didn’t bother me but it may bother light sleepers!

Good location, this was our first time staying in NY and I didn’t feel unsafe walking around the area. The room was decorated nicely. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Pretty much all someone could ask for in a hotel :)

Our two issues regarded the air conditioner and another (not Nina at the front desk) staff member/parking situation. Again, Nina was helpful, so I will not make too big a deal of the other stuff. Everyone has a bad day from time to time.

Nina the front desk manager was very helpful. We had two major issues during our stay, but she was able to resolve them both to our satisfaction. I commend her for her professionalism and quickness to action; she really salvaged the Mondrian experience for my parents, brother, and me.

The main reception area was too small with barely a wooden platform to sit and wait. No sitting arrangement for the guests. Also, even the terrace breakfast place was nice to sit and see the Manhattan from the top, I wish they had better options for breakfast and made it quick to refill. The staff was trying their best but guests had to wait for a long time for the hot food to be refilled.

The property was clean and well Maintained and quick to respond on our requests.

The bedding was not overly comfortable and the pillows were very thin and few. when we asked for extra pillows the staff was unable to locate any extras.

the terrace was beautiful. A great place to sit at the end of the day or in the morning with coffee. The breakfast was also very good.

I had an issue with the timing of the cleaning of the room and called twice to the front desk , however the woman on the phone was short with me and told me they were very busy. It was 3:00pm when they finally came up to clean. I called twice and she said it would maybe take up to 5:00. That was ridiculous. The breakfast was good the first morning but they ran out of hot water the next, how can you run out of hot water. They also served bagels but no cream cheese. The person in the morning in the breakfast room was awesome, he was very nice and attentive, I just think he was limited in what he had to put out. It seems that for such a high end place they could have planned the breakfast with supplied it better. I didn't go down to eat late either, it was before 7-8 every morning. My room was on the 19th floor and on the 4th day of my 7 days, one elevator was out. All the guest were left with one elevator and that was hard because it filled up fast and many times I waited for it to go up and come back down.

The room was just beautiful and one day I was sick and they brought me up soda right away. It was very clean and mostly everyone was so kind and welcoming. The quality of the site was very good and I would recommend this site to people. I liked how close the transportation was as well and the access to shopping was a plus.
