Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe view was exceptional and all accomidation above expectation....However, just DON'T USE BOOKING>COM. They do not regard customer service as a priority and respond very indignantly when asked to adapt any accomodations.

United KingdomThe location wasn’t the best - it’s about a 15-min walk to Pike Place Market but I hadn’t realised that the downtown area is really quiet and unfortunately there are quite a lot of homeless people hanging about.
I stayed in the Deluxe King Room with Bayside view and the room and the view were both perfect. No complaints at all. The hotel in general is so beautiful and stylish, with such lovely views from all sides. Everything was super clean and the staff were so friendly!!

United States of AmericaA little more options on the breakfast menu—maybe. Really nothing.
Wonderful maid service. Helped organizing my stuff! Best maid help I have ever had! Wonderful valet service with my car. Friendly and just wonderful! Front desk people were smiling and welcoming. The bay views from the room and from the restaurant on the 16th floor was so wonderful and the waitresses were so kind and thoughtful.

United States of AmericaThe arrangement of the flooring is confusing. The reception desk is on the top 16th floor so many new guests may be confused once they step in the hotel.
The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean. The front desk manager Ms. Melissa Stephens is very helpful and always accommodating to make us feel home.

MexicoUnlike what was mentioned when booking the room, there was no mini bar, and some of the restaurant's chairs were not very comfortable. We would have preferred a buffet for breakfast. Breakfast is expensive and not really included, unlike what was mentioned at booking, since only $30 per person is refunded, while a simple order costs double. There is a lack of information regarding car parking options.
The room was terrific, with a nice view of both the city and the sea. Room service was prompt. Almost everything, restaurants, tourist places, shops, is within walking distance. The valet service, although a bit expensive, is very convenient.

United States of AmericaStaying at the Lotte Hotel was truly and simply a great experience for me and my girlfriend. Location was great, ambience was modern, clean, and cozy throughout the hotel, and the room we got was excellent. However, none of this would matter if not for the excellent service we got from Gladys at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and professional attention. She helped me with recommendations for local points of interest, jewelry shops, and other accommodations. She was incredibly helpful with room service requests, housekeeping requests, and she genuinely helped our vacation start off on a great note. Thank you Gladys for helping us feel welcome and well accommodated!

United States of AmericaMaybe a couple less mirrors as they really are everywhere! In the room, they're in front of and behind the bed(s), and the bathroom is basically one giant mirror. While the mirrors in the bedroom were beautifully framed, the doors to the toilet and shower were mirrors on both sides. I don't mind an outer mirror, but I think I'm in the majority that most don't want to see themselves taking care of business. Our bathroom had this half circle double paned window, with mini blinds in between the panes for privacy, which was different and interesting. My mattress was disappointing in that it wasn't very comfortable. With the painstaking attention to detail on virtually everything else, to have lumpy mattresses is antithetical. I didn't inquire about different pillow types (feather, hypoallergenic, etc.) and should have, but that was my fault. They had the atypical 4 standard feather pillows. Do not leave anything in your car that you need for your stay as it's valet only, and they park the vehicles off-site. You can not go to your car once you've handed them the keys. It's also mixed with cars going to the theater, and after watching the attendants take the 3 cars in front of me, for whatever reason, they never came to me. My friend had to go to the attendant just sitting right inside and tell him I was waiting.
The overall esthetic and decor is most definitely top shelf. It's a quirky property in that the hotel actually starts on the 16th floor. The design of the hallway, at least on my floor, was very clever. The art in the rooms was fresh and fun and quite spacious. The lounge/bar was fantastic! To one side, it has dark wood and shelving akin to a classic library. Opposite of that are all windows where you can look down on the original Teatro dome. Some cozy seating, some group seating, but enough and decently spaced, so you're not tripping over people. Drinks were generous pours, and my friend got one of their special mixed drinks and was not disappointed. They have fancier titles, but I can't remember, so the shrimp skewer appetizer was so delicious, but while my friend really liked the beef kabob, I wasn't as impressed with it. You definitely have to go into the bathroom, which is in between the lounge and restaurant. It's laid out, so you're in a communal sink in the middle, then one side is men's the other women's. But it's pretty much all mirrors. Both sides of the stall door. The hotel is chic, fun, and modern. I was pleasantly surprised. Overall it was a really nice stay. Oh...24hr room service?! Yes, please! That was really sublime!

United States of AmericaThere was no microwave in the room, so we had some food that went to waste. Could not turn on individual lights, just all on or all off. Should have extra bathing towels in the room.
Beautiful accommodations, modern, amazing view of the city! Staff very friendly and helpful! Spacious room, loved that the tv swivels out, easy check in and out process. The coffee maker in the room was great! Brunch was amazing! And finally the location was perfect, right in the middle of everything we needed to get to!
