Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI would suggest new living room furniture as I almost thought we broke the couch when we sat on it. Little things here and there need fixing but nothing that affected our stay. Bed was awesome and so was the shower pressure. Be mindful it is up quite a few stairs.
I love the antique/historical feel the place gave. The host was great and very accommodating. It was close to all of the historical things we wanted to experience. Great stay overall.

United States of AmericaThe kitchen and bathroom seemed a little old/run down. It wasn't as close to the downtown area as I had expected.
Checking in was easy and straight forward. The host was good about communicating via phone. The house was in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment was spacious and comfortable.

United States of AmericaPlace has permanent residents living on property who can deadbolt the main entry door from inside the property making the entry code useless. After checking in at 6pm, I left for dinner and arrived back at the property about 9pm with no way to get back in. I tried to contact someone to help but no one ever answered. Finally, about a half hour trying to get in, another permanent resident showed up who was able to get me in. The house is very old and you can tell that whoever does the maintenance is NO professional (I'm a builder by trade). I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone.

United KingdomWe didn't receive a code to get into the property and the door wasn't answered so had to phone to get the door opened. The property looks abandoned from outside and inside is dark and musty; light switches were broken, handles missing from misfitting drawers, the oven looks very old and not as in the photos. My husband is asthmatic and could not deal with the smell so didn't stay and Booking.com do not reply to our messages. Very surprised they advertise this on their website
The advert sells the property as fantastic but in reality it is far from that

United States of AmericaI obviously love this place and felt right at home - this is my second booking here. If you want a standard hotel room with everything modern and up to date, it might not be for you.
This is a unique lodging in Montgomery - sense of place is evident with historic period furnishings of the old south, but also a wide-screen tv. Formal dining room and full kitchen would be assets for a longer stay. Quiet residential neighborhood setting with private parking. Host (Rasheeda) is helpful and welcoming.

United States of AmericaThe only part about the stay that wasn't great was that the bottom part of the refrigerator wasn't working properly but since we were only going to be there for the weekend we made due and I informed management that it was messed up as we were leaving.
The apartment is at the top of a winding stariway and it was such a nice place that my neither husband nor I wanted to leave.

United States of AmericaI'm didn't need it but, It's upstairs and not handicap accessible so it needs to say that in the advertisement.
Friendly hostess, private parking in the back of the property, had a library, big tv, everything you needed was there. Full kitchen, dining room, living room, has 3 bedrooms. The bedroom I had there was a huge bed, definitely stay there again.

United States of AmericaLet's be honest. This is an old house converted into really short-term apartments. The place was clean, but needed a deep clean. The kitchen is run down. If you try to open the drawers they just fall in a lot of the time. The faceplate for the one outlet fell off when I unplugged the extension cord for the microwave and coffee pot, to plug in my own single serve coffee maker. I have learned to just travel with my own coffee maker so I know what I am getting. The refrigerator in the kitchen barely kept my food cold, so I would take my freezer packs from the freezer and put them into the fridge next to the few things I had. I turned it to colder, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Admittedly I didn't bother complaining about any of these things, I figure they know and just choose to not deal with them. The bathroom has been redone, BUT some of the "repairs" have been done VERY poorly. Eventually, the "repairs" will cause more problems, and they look bad. This place felt like a bit of a fire hazard. And the biggest issue with that is that the "back door" was locked with a keyed deadbolt, sans the key, to keep people from using the back steps since they "get slick" according to the property manager. So if the place did catch fire, I would have to hope that the main stairs weren't blocked or that I could break through the kitchen window. Odd to think about those things I guess, but I do. None of it was enough to make me check out and find another place. But it will very likely keep me from going back again. If the property owner would just put a little bit of work, it wouldn't be in the shape that it is. But at $50 a night, I would guess they aren't putting any of the money back into the place.
Comfortable bed, I felt relatively safe. Clean linens. The property manager, who lives on the first floor, was very responsive to the last minute check-in and the one need that I contacted her about. It is the south, I was impressed that I did not see bugs, except one, and it was already in the dying position. I was pleasantly surprised that the chair in the front room that I did sit in was pretty comfortable. Overall, I slept well and wasn't worried about my safety.

This is incorrect, when booking alone or with a couple as the restrict access to part of the house. *it's old, although it had some charm, it is in need of renovation. tiles in the corridor are broken, the shower tiles show holes. the kitchen is extremely old
