Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaStaff were extremely rude. When I went to check in, waited at front desk for a while before anyone would even come to ask and when she did, was very rude. Still did not get checked in. Also, when I went to eat breakfast, there was hardly any left at all.
Facilities were clean and okay location. Around a 7 minute drive to the beach. Bed was comfortable. Chef at breakfast was nice.

United States of AmericaOnly complaint was the people next to us. Sounded like women, entered after 11, each night very loud. Played music over our TV volume and Saturday night at least one man and one woman were in there talking, playing music and singing all night long. I did not complain because that never gets you any where. Most have been a shortage on clean washcloths as we never got any.
Breakfast was great! Furnishing bottled water was a Plus. The bed and chairs in our room were great! Staff was nice. TV was great!

United States of AmericaThe guy that checked me in kept telling me they could not find my reservation. He said the worst company to use was booking.com. He said they have nothing but problems with t booking . Com. When his manager walked up he instantly found the reservation. When I first walk in to the lobby . He was actually sitting on table asleep. I woke him up and he was upset so stupid. I showed him my reservation number and he stated this was only good for booking . Com they had no idea what the reservation number was. He had no room for me and I would have to fight it out with booking . Com. Then we said ok I’ll call them and you can talk to them , I already paid fur the room. Then all if a sudden he finds the reservation. A real jerk! People should not have to go through this abuse. He said next time use Priceline they are better . Booking . Com will leave you hanging!

United States of AmericaI'd like more breakfast choices. It was good but just would've liked more options and more patience from the staff as guests were just trying to finish up. Even if it's a little after the close time, if guests are just sitting out of the way the staff shouldn't be rude to them. Never had that happen anywhere b4. But overall it was a pleasant stay.
I loved the location! It's close to everything! The beach is only 10mins away. So many shopping excursions and restaurants are within walking distance if you want to take a nice stroll. The staff was pleasant. We had one issue but it wasn't serious enough for a bad rating. I love staying here and will again.
