Excellent location. Literally in front of the sea, great for walking around the coast line and observe lots of animals living there. Also breakfast was good and staff was very kind. Our room was huge and nicely decorated, as well as clean.

You could see light coming in under the door but hey it's nice weather in California.

The check in was great. smooth and easy. The room was amazing. Loved the shower and mattress the most, but everything in the room was very clean. Did I mention the mattress was wonderful. Landscape, perfect.

In the evening we enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the lawn after using the hot tub. It was quiet and peaceful even though the inn appeared to be fully booked. The location is just a short drive to Heart Castle and the quaint town of Cambria. If you want to drive about 30 minutes inland to Paso Robles there are hundreds of wineries, restaurants, and shopping places to explore. We would definitely stay at Castle Inn again! Oh, and it’s right across the street from this wheelchair accessible walking path which goes along the coast for a few miles. Beautiful views!

Front desk staff was in and out - not always present. Did not seem especially keen on customer service. However the place is immaculate so the cleaning staff is obviously doing a great job.

Pool, spa, and grounds are nicely arranged and well maintained. Breakfast room was likewise tidy and very clean.

Excellent location. Excellent facilities i.e. fire pit, swing set overlooking the ocean, outdoor heated pool/spa, plenty of sitting spaces outdoors to enjoy the views. The young man at the front desk the night we arrived was very polite. Friendly staff at breakfast.

The rooms on the first floor were noisy with the sound of people walking in the room above us. I would stay here again but on the 2nd floor. If you’re staying on the first floor, a white noise machine and ear plugs help. We had two different groups stay above us, and both were noisy walking (so it wasn’t just one heavy-stepper).

The location on Moonstone beach, and the outdoor hangout spaces were perfect! We enjoyed each night hanging by the fire pit and spending some time in the jacuzzi. The breakfast was quite simple but a helpful touch.

Can’t think of anything!

It was an exceptionally well kept property. The grounds, the rooms the great breakfast room were super clean. The service personnel were very kind and personable, always willing to help with a smile. While we didn’t get to use the pool and hot tub, they looked well kept and inviting. Next time we’re there, and there will definitely be a next time, we will use everything.
