Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI found the staff here to not be as nice as some of the other places we stayed while in Thailand. The people working at the reception area were lovely, but the bartenders and servers seemed put out when asking for anything. The cleaning staff were wonderful. My only other negative is the lighting in our villa, although I found this to be true of every place we stayed.
We loved our stay at Railay Resort & Spa. The grounds were beautiful. And spa villa was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for my daughter and I to share. The beach was steps away from our room. The pools were very nice.

United KingdomI would like to have seen more variety of fruits at breakfast. However, overall the breakfast is lovely with a good spread of different cuisine for all tastes.
Lovely rooms, gardens and pool. Very quiet and family orientated although lots of couples of all ages. Staff very helpful and transfers all arranged by total at very competitive rates. Having stayed here a few times I would definitely recommend the hotel arranged transfer from Krabi airport. It is only a few Baht more than arranging the individual taxi and boat yourself but very straightforward and comfortable.

United Arab EmiratesOur room was huge and well laid out but it was quite dark and a little dated. The seal on our door was not good, big gap let mosquitoes in, had to spray it every night and a few still snuck in. Breakfast (and coffee) was poor despite the amazing location. Breakfast was included but we didn't bother eating it last day. There are plenty of nice options 5 minutes walk away for a few hundred bhat.
Location and grounds were stunning, all the sights, sounds and smells of a tropical paradise. Easy walk to everywhere even with a 2 year old. Beautiful pool. Huge bed, my toddler barely managed to quick me in the face the whole stay. Friendly and helpful staff, especially the guy who drove us to the room, super chill and gave us loads of useful info. Carried my wifes massive suitcase on his head all the way to the longtail boat when we were leaving. Absolute hero!! Free mini bar was a nice touch.

AustriaThe negatives: Yes, they have very few chaise lounges - around 8:30 am, the first row towards the beach is completely full, at around 10 am the second row is also full. There aren't any additional beds for the beach so hotel guests actually have to lay on sand. This is very stressful... Also, don't expect to be close to beach, the Resort is made of cottages so if you have bad luck like is, you'll end up in a cottage near the pier, so on the other side, and it take around 10min walk to get to pool and beach (as you can see from the pictures, there is the beach, then pool + restaurant, then lobby + check-in reception and then only the cottages start. But first are the luxury ones) The shower is either super hot or cold, no in-between. The toilet clogs very very easily... Also, there is a gap between the bathtub and the glow and we slipped dialy. Almost broke our ankles there...(see picture) The road to the beach from the cottage is ugly and uncomfortable. The airport transfer is quite expensive.... The beach is crowded with day tourists and the longtail boats are very very loud, so you can't really sleep on the beach/at the pool This is a quite average -prized accomodation so you get what you pay for. I still recommend this accomodation and would come again
So first of all, I want to start saying that the negative reviews are exaggerated (e.g. I didn't see any problems with the furniture) ... So positive things from my point of view: Very quiet, very large room with all amenities (beach towels, robes, flipflops, beach bag, umbrellas, flashlight, toiletries. Plenty of space for a lot of luggage, drying rack for the towels in the bathroom and mobile drying rack for beach towels and swimsuit available. Free drinking water The breakfast menu is very very good and varied, every day they change some. Also the chief chef came personally to each table and asked if there are any requests or advice he will kindly take them on Monkeys :) Shadow from the mountains on the beach and pool side ATM and supermarket right there They are very well organized at Ao Nam Mao, with a waiting room, they will bring you and your luggage to the boat with a tuktuk. Also the airport transfer is very well organized and you don't have to carry your luggage I indeed recommend this accomodation!

ThailandPhotos are misleading in regard to the privacy cottage having a "lush" landscape. Just a couple of palm trees surrounded by bare dirt. In addition, the bare walls displayed chipped paint, making it even less attractive. Privacy walls are not that high either, anyone over 6 feet can see over the other side. Jacuzzi doesn't have hot water, so it's basically just a small swimming pool with jets. Would have enjoyed my stay more if I just opted for a basic room.
It was obvious that the beach was maintained. Very little signs of trash compared to Ao Nang. Location was also far enough away from the bars and restaurants to make the area quiet at night.

United KingdomNot much not to like. Just a set of draws may be helpful to unpack, and not live out of the case, and there was no hot water although nice bath, couldn't use it. We used the shower, but had a cold shower, not as bad as a cold bath.
Beautiful location central to both main beaches, well priced restaurants and bars, room had a bath and sofa, wardrobe no draws. Great air conditioning and well arranged lighting. Seats outside under the trees. Leaf monkeys watched us. Very welcoming friendly staff, always a smile and greeting. Breakfast at the seafront watching the sea and the boats come and go.

United KingdomThe hotel is lovely but maybe a bit tired looking? It has everything you need but it could be updated slightly. There aren’t a huge number if seats by the main pool at the beach which is what sold it to us, and they’re usually always taken.
The location is amazing. You have access to both the East and West sides and you face directly onto the beach. The staff are so friendly and kind, and golf buggies are on hand to ferry you around.

United KingdomHonestly, the DIY breakfast was poor. Limited selection. The eggs were cold even when they had just been brought out. I thought the breakfast was the only negative of the hotel. Just not up to scratch.

Beautiful scenery. Being able to enjoy both Railay and the even more spectacular nearby Phra Nang Beach before the day trippers arrive and most resort guests get moving made staying on the beach an amazing experience.

United KingdomTried booking transfers from airport to hotel, and staff very difficult to deal with over phone and email. Not very good at all. They even put the phone down on me. So unprofessional. The rooms look a bit dated and tired in places. But there is a repair programme going on around the site at the moment which isn't inconvenient to guests. Lighting is poor and needs updating in bungalows as even with all lights on its still dark in the room.
Staff around restaurant, pools and rooms very pleasant and always happy to helpful. Location excellent and food great. Pools and all areas clean and tidy including bungalow we stayed in.
