Nothing major but the accommodation wasn't well sign posted from the road. A toaster would be a good addition to the breakfast. Otherwise it was a great stay.

The location was beautiful. Waking up in the morning to the mountain views was great. The room was big and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was good too.

There is NO Sign to identify the location when your drive by it Nor is there a House number, The photograph in the advertisement is not of something that is visible from the road, so hard to locate . GPS directions are not accurate

Breakfast was very nice, and prepared and offered in a nice room overlooking hills and valley the available free parking is a plus for this area There are two restaurants within walking distance It is a lovely rural setting on the edge of town, lots of birds and farm animals next door.

There wasn't a hairdryer and I would have preferred a duvet (a personal preference) as opposed to blankets and bedspread on the bed. The shower tray filled up with water whilst showering and it was a bit worrying that it might overflow onto the bathroom floor.

Loved the location and views across to the the hills and the distant snow capped mountains. Quinta da Pedra Grande is a very peaceful setting, well maintained and the courtyard has a little seated area and table to sit at and enjoy the outdoors. The continental breakfast was exactly to my taste and presented well. Our host looked after us very well and provided extra pillows on request.

The doors. The door to our room would not stay closed if we didn't lock it. Every time someone opened the front door or some amount of wind came through the hallway and our door wasn't locked, it would fly right open. I hope this gets fixed it was the only issue with my stay :)

Absolutely beautiful area to go hiking and enjoy the serenity, it is calm and peaceful and the people are super friendly and helpful. There is not a lot going on in the area but I would highly recommend hiking to Monsanto and enjoying the view. The hotel was not easy to reach without a car (we needed taxi every time) but when you are there the silence and scenery is worth it completely. They have a few adorable animals (small pigs, horse) next to the hotel - which were surprisingly super silent and did also not smell whatsoever. The breakfast was also very good, especially the orange juice.

I was really stressed out by an automatic message I received while I was on the road, on my way to check-in, announcing that the hotel reception is closing. I telephoned and the manager calmed me down, saying that I could check in when I arrive. I suggest cancelling those automatic messages.

The gardens could do with a few benches or seating of some sort so you can enjoy them. Place is a little lacking character. No staff around most of the day and it would be nice to be able to make a tea or coffee somewhere

Great location just outside Monsanto - you are close enough to walk although it is steep uphill. Good breakfast - lots of choice, good fresh orange juice & superb home grown figs. Pretty gardens but nowhere to sit & enjoy them! Nice big room.

Bedroom supplies were low (no extra pillows, no bathroom glasses). Only one tiny window. Couldn't make the tv work. No wifi in room (though they have a big communal room where it worked).

Spectacular location near a working farm. We hung out with the farm animals and watched the trimming of cork trees. Fantastic breakfast (fruit, cheese, eggs, ham of many types, bread, coffee, tea). Comfortable beds. AC! Just down the hill from Monsanto.

Everything was smooth exept for sound insulation between the units. Folks next door were extremely loud, I closed the windows and turned AC on but it didn't really help.

Place is simple and clean. Close to Monsanto village.

This area of Portugal is very remote and while there are villages there are no facilities like supermarkets or restaurants (that were open). The breakfast provided was excellent but there was no fridge or even tea making facilities in the room and no opportunity to have a meal in the hotel. This was unfortunate as there was no restaurant open within a 30km radius.

Wonderful! and exceptional quality, super clean. Quiet and serene.Very comfortable bed and pillows.I slept very well.Beautiful views.Breakfast was amazing and plentiful.Delicious local cheese and hams.The rustic bread was still warm from the oven. The hostess is very sweet and friendly, down to earth and helpful. I highly recommend staying here, I will be booking again.

Bad value for money Cold! Airco could not heat it up. Dirty, not clean properly. Moisture stains on wall. Very very cold No Wi-Fi although stated on website there was. Bad check-in. There was no one there, we couldn't check in until 4am. A Portuguese couple told us to call the woman / owner. She came after 10 minutes by car. Lamp short circuited due to all the dead insects that were in the lamp. Mold spots in the bathroom. Paid for two nights but left after 1 night. Rickety furniture Lots of cobwebs Bathroom too cold to shower. Owner does not speak a word of English, so no negotiating possible.

The room wasn’t clean and the staff lady (D. Olga) was really rude and tried to argue with us after our complaint. We didn’t even stay for breakfast because we were so disappointed. This was a really bad experience for us, we wouldn’t recommend this place.
