Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe booked for a suite which we'd done previously. The details read :- room with balcony, patio and terrace. We were given a room with a tiny balcony and had to pay an additional £1723 to be given the same master suite, we'd booked in previous years. Booking.com need to check the room descriptions they are issuing against suites. We waited 2 hrs to be transferred and paid a lot of extra money to get what we initially understood we'd booked for.

IrelandNothing we didnt like. If I had to make one suggestion I would suggest installing a plastic recycling bin for all the plastic bottles of water used.
Lovely hotel, close to the town but in a quiet location. The staff, rooms and common areas were all really nice and new and clean. We look forward to coming back again!

United KingdomThe sun loungers were very old and uncomfortable. You could only get milk for the room from the pool bar during the day and the roof bar in the evenings, would have been nice to be in the room or available on the ground floor reception

IrelandInformed we would a a room with a view over the pool at time of arrival before 2 o clock and when came back to reception after 2 o clock informed there was no room with a view of the pool available. We were given Room 001. This room only had on bedside table, was overlooking the street and the lock on the balcony door was broken and therefore easily accessible from the outside.
Breakfast was fine

United States of AmericaIf your clothes are wrinkled, it will take 24 hours to process an item through their valet service. Irons are not provided.
The location is just outside of town, a short Uber ride from the train station if coming in that way. To get to town is an easy 10-minute walk along the river. Pool area was nice and large, plenty of space to lounge. Pool menu is standard, but the portions were nicely sized. The restaurant on the roof is excellent! If it's still on the menu, highly recommend the baked goat cheese, absolutely delicious. My wife had the prawn risotto and said it was one of the best she's had. Breakfast is 100% WOW! There is plenty to choose from and the live piano music is a nice touch.

United KingdomOnly downside was the noise from the construction site on Monday morning, but not a huge issue, and an iron in the room would have been handy as we had a wedding to attend, but again not a big issue.
Breakfast was fantastic, lots of variety. Pool area was beautiful, room was a great size. Pleased checkout wasn't until 12. Great location near some lovely restaurants.

United KingdomUnfortunately the pool was pretty dirty. Lots of leaves / debris floating around in it. I didn’t see it being cleaned once in the whole 4 days we were there and in the end a guest found the net and cleaned it himself. The lack of free water around the pool area. There was water on the side in reception but if you wanted water need the pool it was €1.80 for a tiny bottle. We got large 2 litre bottles for €1 at the nearby shop. It would have been nice for free water on the bar. We have had this at all other hotels we’ve been to.
The location was perfect. A couple of minutes walk to the centre and river where there are some lovely restaurants. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The beds and rooms were spacious and comfortable

United KingdomI have stayed several times before and enjoyed it but this time I think the pool area needs attention. The pool sides needed cleaning and filtration was poor as there was lots of insects and black bits floating on the surface, which was off putting.
Communal areas inside the hotel are good and the rooftop bar is great. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent and the pool bar is great too.

Amazing breakfast. Not only was there an impressive buffet spread, but all this with live piano music. Not an over-bearing rock concert, but nice, easy listening live piano - nice! Hotel was comfortable, clean and in a great convenient location.

CanadaThe pool area looks tired and worn. The pools are not inviting and nobody swims in them. Possibly due to pigeons. Twin beds have replaced the king beds.
