Breakfast. They covered all the bases and possibly it's because it was our first introduction to Azorean food but it just didn't have the options we'd had in Lisbon. Really missed having a variety of fresh fruit including pineapple, berries, melon, or bananas. Parking costing more money than was indicated on the services description in room and having to pay for parking at all. Having to pay extra charge if you wanted to use in-room safe.

Room and bathroom size were great, absolutely huge bed, location, exceptional friendliness of staff, cleanliness, balcony, quiet AC that worked very well. There were many things we didn't use, though, that no other places we have stayed in Portugal had, so that's great if you are looking for them so we can't include in our review (pool, sauna, bar, etc.).

I thought it was outrageous to charge 7 euros per hour to check in early - especially with a 3 PM check in time.

The pool and the jazzuci did not match our expectations sinse the jazzuci did not work at all, and we chose this hotel cause we wanted to use these things so that was a bit disappointing. I think we should have got any replacement for that. Everything else was good!

The hotel is 10 mins away from the airport, and my room/balcony faces it so you can see and hear the planes take off and land around 6-7am and before midnight (10-11pm ish). The noise didn't bother me as it was interesting to see, but others might, so requesting a room on the other side of the hotel might be better.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and beautifully decorated room with balcony - with kettle and coffee/tea available. Charging outlets next to each side of bed and good lighting. The bathroom was clean and had basic toiletries on request at reception. Continental breakfast with variety of bread, ham, cheese, and hot scrambled eggs and bacon, yogurt, and fruits. Pool and jacuzzi were great, open from 9a-9pm (wanted to use the sauna, but remained close and had no instructions) One of the nights, I ordered room service (additional €5) for dinner from their restaurant, O Baco, and it was great! Location:10 mins from airport, paid €10 (with luggage) by taxi. It's about 10mins walk to the city gates, and 5 mins to Forte São a Brás along the water.

Pleasant atmosphere, nice bar and good breakfast. Staff was courteous, accommodating and professional. Nice room, small balcony and nice amenities. Moderate walk to the waterfront and numerous restaurants and bars.

No fridge, no milk, limited tea and coffee. could not book restaurant on 3 out of 6 evenings. Mon restaurant was closed! Bar restaurant seemed to always be booked up. Location overlooked streets but convenient to some very good eating within 10 minutes walk.

A good hotel in general with just a few short comings however Good wifi, clean room, pleasant bar with friendly staff a very nice pool made it an enjoyable stay overall.

Beds were very hard. So hard that it might make me re-consider a stay here again. Shower would not stay at a constant temperature, it ran hot an cold. No electrical outlet in the bath room. Only 4 electrical outlets for the room. The light fixtures were in the way. I hit my head on them multiple times and they could not be re-positioned to a good location.

Located within easy walking distance of all the tourist things to do in town. Easy parking. Good Air conditioning. Breakfast was above average

Too much plane noise due to the hotel being at the end of the airport runway and with flights leaving/arriving early morning/ nighttime, the breakfast was tasty but same every day (after five days it became boring), and the bar was in sufficiently staffed and we had to wait for an hour to get a drink.

The facilities, space, room and location (easy walk into the centre of town) were very good, except for being close to the end of the airport runway and therefore noisy.

Excellent location close to the town centre. The front desk staff was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was excellent and something we were always looking forward to. There was always enough street parking to secure a parking spot for the night. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable.

Small things. Coffee at breakfast was not great. Did not like having to rent a lock for the room safe. I think it should have been included.

Hotel staff were friendly and attentive. At breakfast, they constantly replenished food options. Beds comfortable. Liked the pool, sauna, and steam room. Terrace at the end of the hall on the 5th floor was nice to have a read outside. Location was great, a short walk to PDL centre and port area.

Very nice, comfortable rooms. Location is great, there are loads of free roadside parking available just 60m away on the main street (always found a spot quite easily) and many restaurants are walking distance. Breakfast is also very nice.

Happy Hour is a lie - false advertising on their sign about the available cocktails and no discount on anything other than 1 specific drink that wasn't even on their menu, coffee at breakfast was disgusting, breakfast was decent but not great, kind of expensive for a 2-3* hotel

Friendly staff, check-in and check-out was easy, using the parking garage to park a scooter for free - easy to access, breakfast had very friendly staff to greet you and clean up, nice view from the balcony, very quiet - almost no noise from the neighbours

Check in staff was great. But some of the other staff were quite characterless. Not many smiles to go around.

Breakfast was good. Eggs could definitely be better cooked. A comment that many made. But the breakfast had many options.

When we dropped off our bags before check-in, I didn't love how we how to drop them in a room that didn't feel very secure. When we went to pick them up, they had actually told us the door was unlocked and we could go in there to pick out our bags (the room isn't behind the front desk). Also, when we asked if by chance our room was ready, we were told that if it was, we would have to pay an extra seven euros per hour for accessing the room early (which I had never heard of before).

Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel was clean and it's a central location. I liked the little balcony that the room provided, and the hotel was quiet overall (note: the entire city is under a flight path so you will occasionally hear airplanes taking off or landing, but you will hear that throughout the whole city, not just at this hotel). The staff were also helpful when we were asking about tips in terms of things to do in the city.
