Our room had an amazing terrace overlooking the river - but no furniture to sit and enjoy it (there is a common terrace with seating on the main level however).

Wonderful hotel in town of Folgosa, about halfway between Regua and Pinhao. Friendly, English-speaking staff offered a multitude of tips for visiting the area: wineries to visit, restaurants in each area, drives and viewpoints. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was extensive, everything fresh and tasty. Views from the breakfast area and the rooms were beautiful - the river flows just across the street and the hillsides and village across it were wonderful to look at. The road to Armamar next to the hotel is a wonderful walk to undertake with little to no traffic.

To haul the luggage up for a short slope could be challenging. The hotel's signage needs to be improved as it can be easily missed from both directions of the road.

The bed was a bit too firm but overall the room was comfortable.

Beautiful location with views of the Douro River. Across the street from a wonderful but very expensive restaurant. The staff at the hotel are very friendly. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

The staff couldn't do enough for us, getting our bags, booking restaurant, giving us directions and suggestions. Breakfast individually cooked with great humour. All staff were fabulous

The only thing that I would like is a little more padding on the mattress since it was quite firm.

The staff at check-in and at breakfast were exceptional. The room was beautifully modern and we loved the bedding duvet. Everything was spotless and the view was gorgeous. The breakfast was way beyond our expectations. I have traveled quite a bit and I must say that the value for this property is unbelievable.

Absolutely nothing! We really liked this place.

The staff were exceptionally nice. It was like we were staying at a B&B rather than a hotel. Easy to park. Wonderful breakfast. Had a beautiful view of the Douro River from our room.

We were first given another room, not the one we had booked. After we showed them the photos of the room we booked, they moved us to the correct one. The first room was not as good as the one we originally booked! All in all, at the end, was fine!

The views are extraordinary. We really enjoyed that part. The breakfast was very nice too. The hotel managers are very helpful is explaining about activities in the neighbourhood. We had a great time at this place.

The room had a big terrace towards Douro river, great spot to enjoy a glass of local wine. Modern room with a huge and very comfortable bed. We were there during the heatwave 40+, so the AC in the room was a life saver, powerful but absolutely quiet. The service was excellent. Breakfast was nice. Great value for money!!

All excellent.

This little hotel is right on the Douro. It overlooks vinyards. It was clean, comfortable, it had a terrace to sit outside, you could order a bottle of wine, beer, and snacks. Staff was SO nice! Great English. And breakfast was complete. Parking out front.
