The problem, which they have no control over, is there was major construction occurring next door to our building. At 9am, the pounding started. I think they were pile driving beams into the ground. We left for the day, but when we returned in the evening around 5pm, the noise and pounding were still going on. The nice folks in reception stated that the construction was within legal limits. So if you're reserving a room, clarify with the hotel which building you're going to be in and if the construction is continuing. The hotel should remove those rooms from reservations until the construction is completed.

The hotel is in a great neighborhood, across from a park and by botanical gardens. It occupies parts of two buildings, separated by a building. The reception is in the main building and our room was in the nearby building. There are rooms in the main building as well. They provided nice amenities and the room was very nicely decorated.

It seemed like there were some problems with the drain, so the smell in the bathroom was not very pleasant from time to time.

Very good place: awesome location near to the center and most of attractions. As we arrived at night and the reception was closed, we had to check in ourselves, but it was really easy as we received all the instructions and code for the lock. Interiour of the room was very calming with some retro vibe which I really liked. Perfect place for vacations!

The toilet pump could sometimes leave a bit of a sewage type smell when flushed. Otherwise no other issues

Not much, the only thing I would say is because it’s boutique / natural floorboards so neighbours walking to and from the room can be quite noisy but this would never put me off booking again (I’m just a super sensitive light sleeper)

The location was fab! Near but not too close to bairro alto (nightlife) & restaurants round about were fab. It was a great central location near the incline of Lisbon which made sightseeing that bit easier walking downhill to attractions. It was close to main train transport links as well.

The bathroom had plenty of space for hooks and towel rails but there were none so the towels stated damp and smelly. There should be a shower screen or curtain to prevent water creating a puddle in the floor.

The location was smart, away from rowdy nightlife, but surrounded by shops (quite high end!), bars, restaurants, with steep downhill streets to the city centre and main tourist attractions. Transport back up the hill is easy to find, although we found it quicker to walk! Our room did not face the busy street but overlooked the gardens. However, building works, we're going on in the next building so there was some noise but only after 8am. Opposite the hotel there are pretty gardens containing a couple of bars where you can listen to a singer/guitarist after 8pm.

The bathroom was a little small and didn't off a huge amount of room to move. The door was a 'barn style' hung door which didn't afford the most privacy but they've done what they could with such a small space. Being a B&B reception was only open 0800 - 1800 so outside these hours you can't contact the property unless an emergency.

Great location in Central Lisbon close to lots of restaurants, bars and sights including the Botanical Gardens behind the property and a lovely park square with bars opposite. The room was lovely, with a large comfortable bed, lots of space and a shared balcony. The staff were really welcoming and made a real effort to provide us with information about our stay and the local area. I would definitely stay here again.

While I was a little worried about having a room in the basement, it was a wonderful room. Spacious with thoughtful amenities, a small but lovely and clean bathroom. The location is fantastic, step out the door and start walking to all of the great stores and restaurants. A little park out front, the botanical gardens right behind.

It was not very clean. The double bed had two single matrices put together and one could feel it. The lock of central door broken.

There was no big mirror in the room, which i would appreciate for dressing. One thing also - the breakfast room is nice, but it is unfortunate that it doesnt have windows, not very pleasant for me to watch in the morning in artificial lighting, much preferred to take my breakfast to my room.
