Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United States of AmericaLovely house, warm hosts with deep local knowledge. I was there in the winter, so no chance to use the pool. Teresa and Miguel went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. They helped me book a tour of the nearby ancient rock art, and then called to update me about a schedule change. They were great. Excellent breakfast, and wonderful big towels in a fine private bathroom.

We had an outstanding time staying with Teresa and Miguel. Staying at their beautiful home was the highlight of our whole holiday in Portugal. They were both incredibly friendly and helpful and it felt like a true home from home. Their home made breakfast was fantastic as was the evening meal they cooked for us too. Their village is a great place to walk around - the countryside on your doorstep and a village with many very old properties. On booking - the explanation of the rooms is not quite clear from the listing and this might help: The ground floor of their lovely house is given over entirely to guests. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with ensuite and the 3rd (where we stayed) with a private bathroom across the hallway - absolutely no problem. There were other people staying when we were there and it all worked really well. Contemporary decorations done in a sympathetic style makes all the spaces very lovely. There is also a huge living, dining, kitchen area that opens onto the patio where its especially nice to eat looking over an ancient olive grove. They provide tea and coffee, various condiments, a toaster, fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery - so easy to self cater - there is nowhere to eat in the village (but two excellent local bars). The family's home is entirely upstairs. Couldnt recommend more highly.

IsraelA lovely stay with hosts that treat you like family. The room is spotless clean, and you get to use the dining and living rooms, it’s spacious and nice. But mostly it’s the chance to meet the nicest hosts and feel the real Portugal. We highly recommend it, and hope to come again.

Have you ever hated to leave a review because it means you have officially left? Have you ever been hesitant to leave a good review because you don't want to share one of the coolest places and families in the world? Although we would like to remain silent and keep them all to ourselves, we can't because this family deserves the world! If we could leave 1000 stars, we would. We came here by accident, just found this town through Booking. I could write 10 pages but in a nutshell, the place is spotless with every amenity you could hope for. The location is like a little oasis, a peaceful paradise with the sweetest most perfect pool and view! My husband and I don't ordinarily eat breakfast but we couldn't say no, the food was so much fun and whenever we said we liked something, Miguel and Theresa WHO HAPPEN TO SPEAK AMAZING ENGLISH paid attention & made sure to bring more of it the next day! We probably gained 5 lb but it was worth it! Their kindness was unmatched. Honestly we feel like we gained two new family members. Jason & I truly hope we see you two again (and I have a feeling we will!!) Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, thank you for the space, the peace, the food, the attention, the laughter and your friendship!

Breakfast was delicious, the house was wonderful! Everything was clean and tidy. I wish we could have stayed longer. This property is a good place to stay if you want to begin exploring the Duoro Valley.

United States of AmericaWe are long-term travelers & the couple who own this guest house are some of the nicest people we have met in all of our journeys! The guest house is new, the room is large and has a great shower. WiFi worked, a rarity in Portugal. The location is peaceful and they have a great place to sit outside and relax. The breakfast was excellent - great coffee. They even gave us a glass of their home-grown red wine.

After a day touring the Douro Valley, we were happy to find our lodging. Our hosts, Miguel and Therese, were actually outside, watching for us and helped us with our bags. They had pre-heated the room, which was super comfortable and super clean. Our included breakfast was more than ample and delicious. We were able to leave our bags there while touring the nearby museum.

We liked the warm welcome and the excellent hospitality provided by Miguel and Teresa. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious with homemade and/or locally-sourced produce. The room was simply but tastefully furnished and comfortable. Facilities for self-catering provided. Highly recommended!
