No elevator and no lobby but it’s a small price to pay for the quality and the convenience.

Location location location. Intelligently designed modern rooms only a few steps from the vaparetto and Piazza San Marco. Hotel is located on a lively small piazza with several charming restaurants that stay open late. Rio had to be one of the best values of La Serenissima.

Very small rooms. Very difficult to move around if 2 people in the room. The bathroom was too small. Very very difficult to use the toilet or the shower. The water temperature of the shower was very unpredictable and went from boiling hot to freezing cold

Be careful when booking this hotel as it has no elevator in the annex, so it can be challenging for elderly people or with young babies. My main problem was the extremely loud kitchen exhaust fan of the opposite restaurant. I could not sleep until they closed the kitchen around midnight. This makes also impossible to open the window.

Perfect location, very friendly staff. Room was small (with the smallest bathroom ever) but clean. Breakfast was tasty. We were in room 226, which is not in the main building but almost next to it.

a bit noisy street and tiny walls in the hotel. The room for two people was small but it was okay for 1 night stay.

Great location! Just right after Palazzo Ducale. Very easy to reach vaporetto San Marco Zaccaria and walk around the most beautiful Piazza San Marco. Very very kind and helpful personnel on the reception! Thank you Pavel and Francesco! Also I liked that we had a complimentary coffee, tea, cookies and a kettle in my room. Everything in the room was clean and new.

The location just a short stroll from Piazza St Marco with its own little piazza, there's some lovely restaurants, cafés, & gift shops & plenty of options for gelato, hotel facilities are great, our room had cool lighting & USB sockets so very handy 😀 a fridge, awesome power shower too.

I didn't like the access to the room. It is done via a narrow staircase and needs renovation.

The hotel is very well located and the breakfast was simple but very good! We were 4 people and we received two rooms with a bathroom. I found the rooms and bathroom small. The staff are attentive and friendly. We arrived before check in and it was raining. The receptionist released the room immediately. I loved the gesture! I thought the value for money very good!

Location was convenient to the water taxi stop. This was a main consideration when choosing this hotel. Also we needed a room with two twin beds and Hotel Rio was able to accommodate. We arrived slightly ahead of schedule and were able to check in early. Breakfast options were good and we appreciated the option for luggage storage after we checked out.

Rooms were quite small but we were only staying for a short time and only had carry on luggage so it was very convenient for us! Bit of loud banging outside around 7am but you’re in the middle of a city so it’s not unexpected!

Location was great and the restaurant next to reception was yummy and affordable! Highly recommend the bruschetta! Staff were very friendly and check in and out was super easy!
