Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI was able to pull in front of the hotel to unload my luggage since I had my own vehicle, but the so-called parking in a close location just didn’t work out. The close location seem to be filled by mostly locals from what I observed. I ended up parking quite some distance From the hotel on the way out of town. I understand parking is a premium in smaller villages in Sicily. However, parking should not be advertised as available in a close location, Or there should be some form of transporting your clients back to the hotel once they park. One other item I had issue with is that all the female staff wore matching businesslike outfits. They look very professional, and you could tell they were part of the hotel staff. The one gentleman who was at the front desk late at night when I came in after dinner, was wearing rather loud unmatching Street close. Very unprofessional. I had a small problem with the air conditioner and when he came up and I greeted him at the door I would’ve had reservations about letting him in had I not seen him earlier in the evening. He looked like just anybody off the street in fact, his atire was quite bright/loud and totally unprofessional. I would never have suspected he work for the hotel. He was friendly and professional in his response, but his attire should match the female staff, so that everyone knows he does work for the hotel.
The property was in a great central location for me to explore the village. The hotel looked very professionally done and constructed well. There was a nice variety of food for breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and professional, especially Concetta. She went out of her way to help me with a number of requests that I had, and to provide information about the village. her ability to speak in English was a well appreciated benefit for me in my case since I am American. It was very pleasant to be able to speak to her about my questions, and for her to be able to provide information about the village in a very understandable way. Her friendliness, willingness to help provide answers to my questions, and all around general attitude makes her an exceptional person to have on staff providing for others.

United KingdomFew conveniently-placed power sockets for charging devices - and power goes off when you leave the room. Wi-fi kept cutting out and then restarting a minute or so later. Driving to close to the hotel would be a nightmare of navigating very narrow streets and searching for a parking space; as it happened there was a fair in the village which closed all the roads, and I had to park outside the closure zone c 800m from the hotel (luckily my luggage was light)
Right in the centre of the village. Helpful staff. Good-sized room and bathroom

United States of AmericaThe town itself was a bit of a disappointment, compared to the other towns we visited in Sicily, and the onstreet parking was very limited and crowded in August. The street the hotel faces is steep, narrow and with no upper outlet. We got the last parking space on the flat dead-end street the hotel recommended, so we didn't dare move the car until we were ready to leave, at which time we had to drag our suitcases over cobblestones to the car and back down the street in reverse to get out.
This is an excellent small hotel in a modernized renovated charming old stone building: the rooms are very nice and include a desk and a mini-frig and there is a pleasant lounge area on the second floor. The breakfast met our needs. The staff was very pleasant about answering our questions and helping us with dinner reservations.
