Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Beauty of the property and surrounding nature. The spacious appartment, well equipped kitchen. The barbeque area was nice. We liked the little shop with local food for cheap prices. Kids loved children playground and the pool. And we all like the manager Giuseppe!

United KingdomGot to mention the road to the place though. It was a little challenging, single track with some potholes, steep in places. It would not stop us going back and was interesting in its self. We had a small Panda, a bigger wheeled car would have had less of a challenge.
We really liked this place. We had great views, the rooms were rustic and a good size, with a garden area complete with table and chairs, which looked down the valley. Easy parking but not outside the room. (you could drop off immediately outside it) The pool was a good size. You could order some bread etc for fresh morning delivery.

AustraliaAbsolutely everything! From the minute we arrived and met Giuseppe, we felt at home. What a beautiful, peaceful place. Giuseppe helped us with all our queries, and you could see he was great with all the guests. We were there for four nights and would happily have stayed for more. Such a lush green oasis with a pool we couldn't resist jumping into. Conveniently located just a short drive to Cefalu, which was another highlight of our time there.

United KingdomThe sockets on the kitchen wall appeared to be 3 prong when the others were just the standard EU 2 this mean the kettle and the toaster couldn't be plugged in there, we tried but they didn't work so we had to plug them in on the floor at a 2 prong socket. This property is along a very narrow track which is a dirt track at points with lots of pot holes, you absolutely need a car to stay here but don't let that put you off in my opinion it was worth it.
What a lovely place! The accommodation was just perfect, there was everything you could need for self catering, often properties like these don't have a lot to allow cooking etc however that was not the case here, although we did laugh at the irony of an Italian property that did not have a pizza cutter. The views were just stunning and Guiseppe was on site most of the day to assist with anything you may need. The wee honesty shop was a bonus we had not expected and the welcome goodies of coffee, milk, bread exc was a nice touch. Lovely and quiet by the pool, local amenities, restaurants etc were just 10 mins drive as was the beach.

IrelandNot a thing I could fault except you 100% need a car but that’s not a fault just a note to mention.
The views from the property were just spectacular, although a bush fire had burned a lot of the vegetation the week before it didn’t take away from it at all. The accommodation itself was just beautiful, very clean and beautifully decorated. We arrived very late at night which was not a problem, there was even a little welcome basket of treats with milk and water in the fridge. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the pool as the weather was not great but we got some epic lightning and thunder in the evening which we enjoyed with a glass of wine. Last but not least I couldn’t not mention Giuseppe who was so welcoming and kind. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a break away from the fast pace of life.

United KingdomNothing not to like but worth noting that the road to the property is narrow and bumpy.
Beautiful location in the hills near Cefalu with a fabulous pool. It feels very tranquil but an easy drive to supermarket, towns and beaches. Giuseppe, our host, was very friendly and helpful, making us feel very at home. The apartment was very comfortable with good air conditioning and everything we needed. We wished we had booked more than 3 nights!

BelgiumThe road up the hill is a bit bumpy, but I would say really no problem.
Poggio Pozzetti really exceeded our expectations. I am afraid we are quite 'spoiled', staying often in the best hotels. This time we booked 4 days with Poggio Pozzetti last-minute because we wanted to catch some sun in Sicily and there was not much available anymore. But even to our standards, this Agriturismo is really good. The staff member on the premise was a really nice person and very helpful! It was super clean, spacious (very spacious bedroom also), the air conditioning kept it cool inside, there is a wonderful view of the sea which we could enjoy from our private terrace which offers a table and chairs to eat outside but also lounge chairs. The pool is nice (not super special), provides enough sun beds and offers the same view of the sea. However, be aware that Poggio Pozzetti does not offer catering so you will have to take care of yourself with the kitchen you have in the apartment (which you know in advance of course). There is a little shop on the premise where you can buy the basics (bread, eggs, croissants, bread, beer/wine), but I would say that you would better do shopping in one of the nearby supermarkets so that you can cook yourself a bit more elaborated Italian pranzo and/or dinner. Otherwise, enough restaurants in the area where you can eat very well (Cefalu is approx. a 30 mins drive but there are also places closer by such as a neighbouring agriturismo which offers dinner and which can be reached by foot). Also be aware that the place has different size apartments so if you're travelling with your partner for a romantic stay (like we were), be aware that there can also be families with kids among the guests and in that case it will be busier at the pool of course (we couldn't be bothered however). So, in conclusion, this is not a romantic hideaway gem for the two of you with 5 star service, but a really good local place which offers what they promise, which is very hospitable, friendly and very clean.

United KingdomThe road up to the property was more of a track which meant driving back and forth was something given second thought; however, with practice this did become easier. The wifi was only available around the pool.

United KingdomThere could be more information on booking.com about how rural the location is as a hire car is 100% needed. We found this out the hard way and had to pay a lot for a very short taxi ride. The pool furnishings could do with an update.
