Excellent locale with common kitchen (no closing g though!) and so many comfy extras like water, tea, coffee and snacks.

Our only complant would be the street noise, since we had a corner room on a busy street. Sound isolation could be better. But we got some earplugs in the room.

Always when you travel, you hope to come to a place like Perle d’Ambra: In the heart of an interesting town, a place with a delicate interior with all amenities, a spacious kitchen and a wonderful and helpful hostess. It could’t have been better!

This is a gorgeous property with spacious, bright rooms, lovely fixings in the bathroom, and the sweetest host you could ask for. It was easy to reach on foot from the train station and had a very nice café downstairs. From here we walked the whole town and the surrounding wall (several times). There were treats and more in the pretty shared kitchen/lounge, though we didn't make use of them; spent all our time exploring fabulous Lucca.

No improvements needed, elegant, comfortable accommodation. The only drawback is the noise from nearby restaurants/bars. Earplugs helpful!

Delicious pastry delights and cereals, plus teas and/or coffee in a very comfortable setting. The location is only a short walk from the station. And can’t be any closer to all the historic buildings, churches, towers and shops

We found the bed a little hard for our liking, although this is, of course, personal choice! It's also worth noting that it is located above an Irish pub that was a little noisy untill just after midnight, not a problem for us, but worth noting!

A realy lovely host, great room, lots of space and had anything we could have wanted! The property was kept spotless. A great location for exploring the old town of Lucca!

Maybe an extra layer of glass to insulate sound from the street would help, especially early in the morning when the baking business starts their activity for the day. Otherwise this would be a perfect site.

Spacious room with fully equiped shared kitchen available. Really appreciated the chilled filtered water - which even had a sparkling option. The fridge was handy as was the coffee maker and the wide range of crockery and cutlery- when we chose to eat in. Our host was really friendly and helpful with advice about local attractions

The noise outside the apartment was a little disappointing but Debora provided us with ear plugs and that helped.

A wonderful accommodation. Our host was exceptionally friendly, the rooms are very beautiful, everything is very clean and new. There is also a beautiful kitchen that is stocked with all kinds of teas, coffee and biscuits. The location is perfect as well, right next to the city center.

Our room was above a pub which made it noisy on Saturday night until late, but the provided earplugs cancelled the noise.

The only complaint we had was the shower water temperature was finicky and tended to be cold water.

Location was great and check in process was superb. We were given a map of Lucca and suggestions for things to do. The room came with access to a shared kitchen that had some snacks and an espresso machine (that were all free). The room had plenty of space. There was an outdoor concert nearby and the host was kind enough to leave us earplugs in case we needed them.

All of the reviews that mention the outstanding service are 100% correct. Very Very happy with the service we received during our stay. The room is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. You can listen to the babble from the street with the windows open or close them for peace and quiet. You are within the walls of the city within comfortable walking distance from the station. The bike hire is on the corner and very easy to hire to ride around the top of the wall. The best way to get your bearings on this beautiful historic town. Lucca was my favourite place on our 6 week holiday around Europe. I would definitely stay here again.
