The location and its surroundings were absolutely magical. If you are looking for a quiet and comfy place in the middle of the Sicilian countryside, this place is perfect. Nevertheless, it would mean nothing if it weren't for its hosts who make your stay special while feeling at home, tasting antique Sicilian cuisine, talking about local traditions, and giving you tips for the best trips around Sicily. We are very grateful for their hospitality!

    Nothing. All was fine.

Locanda di Cadi is a truly lovely place to stay for an agritourism holiday. Really authentic, with Diego a true Chef who is able to create dishes based on food eaten by people over the years. Patrizia was the Lady of the house - a really humble lady who greets guests and makes them feel at home. Patrizia explained every dish we had for dinner including its history! Diego and Patrizia are a great couple. 🤗🤗

A charming, small stone house with a wonderful view over the neighbouring fields. Very clean, quiet and a comfortable bed. The hosts are so, so lovely- very passionate of their countryside, their food and their way of life, and rightly so! Diego is an exceptional cook, who will serve you a degustation menu of seven courses with local wine. We took advantage two nights in a row and got served different meals on both nights! So good!!! Breakfast is as big or small as you want, with fruit from the garden, bread made by Diego and jam, cheese and ham from the surrounds. Patrizia is the perfect host. She loves gardening and grows most of the fruit and veg used in Diego’s cooking in their garden. Thankfully she speaks French and was able to tell us about the food, the history, the walks through the mountains and which villages to go to. What a wonderful couple Patrizia and Diego are!!

Finding this little place would be impossible without a car and navigation maps, but to experience the peace and rustic quality of the madonie area, but also be central to many things it’s perfect. Diego and Patrizia were wonderful hosts, the room was lovely and the meals amazing, so creative and filled with good produce from the garden. My son and I had one night booked and stayed for another because we loved it so much. We hope to return and stay longer.

The access was difficult for us as neither of us walks well on uneven and steep ground, we had to bring our bags down a difficult path. the actual bedroom was a good size but the water supply was sporadic, and the bed linen thick and rough, also the pillows were too hard for us, so we used cushions from the sofa.

Quiet country location, lovely old dining room and bedroom balcony.

Not a thing, it was perfect.

Amazing. So hard to sum up what a special spot this is. The inn overlooks hills and olive groves, our room was comfortable, clean and nicely designed (the log burner was a particularly nice addition), and the hosts were utterly charming. We were there in mid-October and even though we were the only guests nothing was lacking. The thing that stands out is the food. Diego is a chef who alongside being extremely talented clearly has a deep love for the food of Sicily and southern Italy. As a result we were treated to two meals of the highest quality. Our evening started with chilled Sicilian wines and snacks while the sun set, then supper was a multi-course extravaganza of reimagined and refined Sicilian dishes, with all of the blending of Italian, Persian and southern European influences that comes with it. Some of the flavour and texture combinations were completely new to us but utterly joyful. And it was all topped off with some homemade liquers. Considering that you we had a barrage of local wines throughout the overall bill for the meal was staggeringly cheap, you'd pay at least double for an equivalent meal in northern Europe (though I'm not sure you'd ever find an equivalent). Then in the morning we devoured a full breakfast of local fruits, breads, eggs and meats, all with the stunning scenery behind us and the cats to keep us on our toes. Lastly, the cats. They're numerous and rambunctious, but like the rest of the experience they merely serve to deepen the charm of the whole place...and if they ever got too brave Diego was on hand with some food to distract them. Oh, and the hamlet is small and friendly, you can park up on the road behind the inn without concern.

The owner was enforcing the green pass restrictions and wouldn’t allow us (my young daughter and I) inside the dining room without one. I didn’t appreciate the discrimination. I will not return to this location on principal. I will not bow to petite tyrants.

The room was quaint and clean and dinner on the patio was a culinary tour of Sicilian favorites. Very well done even if a little expensive. Enjoyed the company of the owners and a respectable clientele.
