Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandCasa Lunia is a pearl situating close to everything. It is possible to experience your own privacy and go back to time and yet feel the luxury of today’s facilities. Breakfast is made with heart and it is very delicious. Luca seem to meet everyone as special guest - which is rare today. We loved to stay in Casa Lunia and Mestre very much 🧡

GermanyLuca is a great host! We got amazing recommendations and a really beautiful and clean big room. We could park next to the Guesthouse, so our car was always approachable and safe. The bus stop to the center of the Venedig Island was 1-2 walking minutes, really near to the house. It has overall good connection to public transportation. Lucas's breakfast was really delicious, he also is really sensitive with food allergies and prepares according it, which was also important for us. We will definitely come here again, if we're visiting Venezia :) Kind regards, Gizem & Oliver

LatviaMy mother and mother in law stayed in Casa Lunia, Luca and his wife took every effort to ensure they were feeling comfortable, warm, advised on the best transportation to get to Venice, and were excellent hosts that treated them like they were family. I couldn't have wished for more since I wasn't able to accompany them on this trip, but I felt they were in really good hands. Thank you Luca!

Amazing house and overall offer by an amazing host, Luca. From providing an arrival information session with tips and tricks, must-see's, a custom selfmade map with recommendations - this is an ideal place to start your explorations in or around Venice. Delicious home-cooked breakfast, spacious comfortable rooms, parking and a great location/connection to bus/tram/trains and the oldtown of Mestre - it's just a perfect combination. Luca is very knowledgable of the area and also has great tips for surrounding cities too. Thank you again Luca for being an exceptional host!

Everything was perfect. Luca is a great host who has the best recommendations for absolutely everything! The guesthouse itself is amazing and its position in Mestre is very advantageous: close to the bus station, supermarkets, and restaurants. It’s the perfect accommodation if you want to visit Venice and the surroundings.

United States of AmericaNothing really.
Location was perfect. Easy to reach Venice on the local bus or train which we did daily. Mestre itself has a large central square, easily reached by walking through the charming neighborhood. Restaurants, shops, and the local flea market were a pleasure. Luca couldn't have been more generous with his beautiful guesthouse and his effort into making our stay one we'll never forget.

SerbiaHospitality is at the highest level. The owner, Lucca, is fully dedicated to make his guests happy and satisfied. The whole place is filled by harmony, nicely decorated in traditional Italian style, located very close to the town center and easy to reach Venice distance. Stayed in many places, but this I would highly recommend.

Luca was the best! He provided us with a lot of very useful, time saving (and money saving) information, including his own map for Venice, which we used extensively. The location was perfect, since you can easily get to Venice via public transportation (bus / tram) in 20 minutes and it was right in the middle of Mestre, with lots of restaurants and cafes around. The room we stayed in was excellent, large with a comfy bed and a nice shower and the garden itself is beautiful. The breakfast Luca made for us was excellent as well.

United KingdomWe had the most incredible experience staying with Luca, the reviews on here, even though all amazing, don't really do him justice but you won't understand that until you stay with him. Everything was perfect, the breakfast was incredible and nothing was too much, as soon as you walk in, he was there with all info you need to able to get into Venice, where to go and what to see. He went above and beyond for us to be able to see the fireworks that happens every year in Venice which we weren't aware of until we got there, he was always a text away, the bed was crazy comfy, had shutters so kept it super dark, ensuite and balcony was bellissimo and that air con was the best thing EVER! We felt so welcome as soon as we walked in, felt like we had known Luca for years!! Everything was provided all the way down to an after bite zapper! He remembered each morning what you liked for breakfast and would always be happy to switch it up (my favourite has to be pistacchio cream croissant) My other half and I don't tend to visit the same place twice but we have said we are going back and I cannot wait! Already telling people to go and stay with Luca aswell. Our best experience of Venice and it was so much more thanks to Luca. Miss you already!!
