Everything was simply sublime. I worked with the hotel staff to prepare a proposal for my now fiancé and everything went off without a hitch. Gigi,Riccardo, and every single member of the staff did such an amazing job in preparation and making our stay there welcome. We’re already planning our return trip to see what feels like close friends again.

There is nothing not to like about this place but I would inform that you’ll need a car to get to this place if not you’ll have to get a private taxi and it might be pricy 280€ from Florence on each way if that’s fine with you do not hesitate to go because it’s extremely worth it

Our host for dinner wasn't very attentive - maybe we miscommunicated.

I've followed Borgo Pignano on Instagram for a few years, and it was magical to finally see it in person. The grounds are exceptional. The views are unmatched, and the location to Volterra and San Gimignano is convenient. Luigi, "Gigi" who greeted us, was so kind and welcoming. Breakfast is a lovely display.

The service from all the staff was impeccable, food was delicious and the property is absolutely stunning. Having to leave and say goodbye! The only feedback was to make better use of the court yard which is seldom used other than for welcoming guests. A missed opportunity as not everyone wants to sit on the grass area after dark. A few biscotti wouldn’t have gone amiss at the coffee and tea station either. The sun beds by the pool were extremely low.

Authentic charm with luxury service. Great staff who went out of their way to acknowledge you in a genuine way. And the unforgettable GiGi for his unique style, and knowledge he shared about BP. Breakfast with that view is hard to beat. The whole land to table ethos with little wastage and an important focus on sustainability and preserving the land and estate for the future.

The formal restaurant is the only aspect of the property that feels out of step design-wise (and could use an update). While the food is exceptional throughout - this is an element that could really shine more.

Exceptionally wonderful property with charm and surprises around every corner. Each staff member made the experience special and the property’s amenities and activities were each delightful and thoughtfully put together. We wound up barely leaving the property during our stay because there was so much to do. I would add that you probably get a more bespoke and personal experience than here than any larger 5* property.

The food in the Alfresco restaurant was a little uninspiring. There were no starters offered and the drinks were hugely expensive for this type of casual informal restaurant. The staff were excellent though

The location and architecture, facilities and views as well as the customer service were all truly excellent throughout. The swimming pool was one of the best we have ever seen and the commitment to green environmental policies was first rate. The main restaurant was really superlative

Some things in the hotel were a little disorganised. It didn't feel like a super-well-run hotel. The gym was small, tired, and a bit dirty. There was only one gym mat and it was filthy. The Al Fresco restaurant always felt like it wasn't quite coping.

Our rooms were a lovely size, and had a great outlook. The food was delicious, especially in Villa Pignano. The wine tasting was superb, the sommelier was excellent - it was a great experience.

There was nothing we didn't like about Borgo Pignano. Staying here was a trip highlight for us, we left feeling so content, relaxed and happy after a few days here. The staff were all exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. We booked a few internal experiences on the property and they were flawless. The pool area was breathtaking, it looked out over the hills of Tuscany – one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. Honestly, a must-do experience in Italy if travelling through the area.
