An amazing stay in heart of Bali. The villa is perfect for family vacation. It has all the amenities, a kitchen with fridge, stove and cutleries. Swimming pool is cleaned and maintained everyday. The staff of Griya Shanti Villa is exceptional, we were taken care of and made feel at home by Sinthia, Wina and Laksmi, we really appreciate their hospitality. They took care of all our requests from dinner, spa, housekeeping and arranging car and driver for us to visit around Bali. The restaurant serves excellent breakfast and food. They even made a cake for our family member's birthday. The location is close to centre of Ubud and the hotel provides free shuttle services few times a day to Ubud centre. I highly recommend!

If you are squirmish about insects and worms, u may not feel so comfortable. Millipedes everywhere, including in your room and toilet...

The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us, like serving breakfast at our villa as we have 2 young children and my mum finds it difficult to navigate the steps. Food is better than expected; made fresh upon order. Bed is also very good

The staff were so kind and caring. The food was excellent, some of the best mie goreng and nasi goreng we had in Bali! We also had dinner and a massage included in our stay, which was gorgeous. Fantastic value for money.

Our stay was perfect! The staff was so helpful and kind that I cannot describe it. The surround is beautiful, the villa was very clean. The place has its own restaurant where we ate authentic indonesian dishes made perfectly.

We loved the location. A little bit away from the hustle and bustle but only a cheap gojek away from anything you need. The staff were all amazing and so accommodating for our little family. The included breakfast was good, really fresh fruit and some good Western or Indonesian options. The highlight has to be the staff!

Yes my villa was a bit outdated and the furniture could do with being updated, but it didn’t prevent me from enjoying my stay. The towels could also be updated as they were mostly stained or torn. One thing I would say though might be to improve the breakfast and have more options like smoothie bowls or other healthy options and non dairy milk as an option too. None of this was a big issue they are just suggestions as I had a great experience at Griya Shanti.

First of all, a huge thank you to the staff. No request was too much trouble. They always always had a smile on and were so accomodating. I’ve travelled the world extensively and have rarely come across front of house and drivers so friendly yet professional who will bent backwards and forwards to truly make sure you’re happy and having a great holiday. I felt welcomed and looked after like if I was part of the family, and that really was the highlight of my stay at Griya Shanti. Even though I never got to meet the owner, he helped me with many of my requests. Special mentions to Putu and to Gusman as well as the front of house that was there most mornings (sorry I have forgotten your name), they were all incredible! The free shuttle 3 times per day to Ubud was appreciated and for a small cost, the driver could drop/pick up outside the set times. And the private pool was a selling point for me. It was my 3rd time in Bali, there’ll be more visits and I will definitely consider Griya Shanti again! Greetings from the UK!

Centipedes and Spiders in the room but they don't bother you. Small entry, difficult for 12 seater van to enter.

There was a lot of traffic getting in and out of Ubud no matter what time of day we went or returned. It took 20 - 25 minutes most trips. The resort was accommodating with the driver, which was very helpful.

Beautiful resort property with private villas located about 15 minutes outside of Ubud center. The staff were lovely - kind, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The resort has a complimentary shuttle three times a day and a driver to/from Ubud when needed for a modest cost. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was delicious and freshly prepared each morning. We also had complimentary massages and a dinner because of our length of stay. A private pool, private bathrooms for each room, and a covered dining area with a fridge, sink, and stovetop made the stay even better.

The tiles on the pavement are slippery after heavy rainfall. A long walk down the steep steps from villa to breakfast room. Breakfast standard is different every day. Fruit plate was smaller in size on the last 2 days. Packed breakfast for early departure had 2 boiled eggs and a small clementine.

Pool is lovely with the jet steam to massage the legs. The steps down to the pool are a bit steep for elderly.

The only thing... is we couldn't stay longer... There was nothing any of us could fault.

There are not enough words to explain..... The villas were immaculate. Each room spacey clean and beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. Each bathroom was perfectly fitted out. The villa space had everything we needed. The pool was amazing to swim in and ample supply of pool towels The staff couldn't do enough for us. They helped arrange some tours and drivers as well as private yoga classes in the yoga space near the waterfall. The restaurant made delicious meals for breakfast and also for dinner. For me it was the perfect distance from Ubud and easily enough to get to.... if you ever felt the need to leave. Which wasn't often 😁😁 Thankyou again Griya Shanti for yet another amazing holiday (my second stay, and friends first) and I'm pretty sure we will all be back again

The aircon was not cold. And the fact that we informed them more than 24hrs that we will check out a day before & if they can refund us for that day. And they cannot.

The location was a bit confusing to find.

The main host Putu and later vina were the best hosts. The staff was extremely hospitable, kind and welcoming. . The property itself is good. However it is the staff that has added value to the place. The food was delicious and we received one complimentary dinner which was delicious. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff who made our stay memorable.

Aircon was tricky. Don't use the fan as this seems to push cool air up. Once got it sorted it was fine. My villa was right beside the restaurant, so could hear all chatter, kids screaming etc, so not as peaceful at times.

Very friendly and service oriented service staff; daily cleaning; the villa with own pool is a dream; nice little restaurant with good selection of tasty local dishes for breakfast, lunch and diner; good coffee; car shuttle service to get to Ubud city and back; airport shuttle is provided; massage services are amazing; yoga training platform and training courses exist.

The air conditioning takes a few hours to cool down. This is probably because of the very high ceiling. It will help if turn the fan off.
