I think you have to be ready for the massive crowds and noise from party goers. Otherwise location, charm and amazing hosts.

Location,Location !! The apartment is right on top/side of Diocletian Palace looking over the Riva and the harbor. The apartment is pure vintage with modern appliance dishwasher, a very small but excellent clothes washer etc. A very good AC that cools the bedroom as well. The hostess and the hostess were both knowledgeable and welcoming and very attentive to our questions and needs in Split. Highly recommend this spot if you just want to walk the old town and visit the farmers market.

The apartment is well equipped, clean, quiet (when the windows are closed or later at night when the restaurants close) and close to train/bus stations and tourist sights/restaurants/shops. However, the #1 feature of the apartment is the location in the historic palace with a fantastic view of the harbour/marina. On top of the fantastic apartment, the host waited late for our arrival (train was running late).

Nothing I didn’t like however one suggestion would be for the hosts to invest in some thicker curtains/blinds in the living space as they are very thin and if using the sofa bed would draw a lot of light in the morning and heat.

Location, location, location!!! Amazing view of the water and the main promenade. In the heart of the old city. The apartment was much bigger than expected and very spacious, and I was surprised how comfortable the sofa bed was. The apartment is tricky to find however the host met us on the promenade and showed us to the apartment and assisted carrying the suitcases up multiple stairs. Great communication with host and would definitely stay here again.

Amazingly central yet quiet location from which to base a stay in Split. Overlooking the marina from within the old town walls made you feel like a local. Walking straight out into the historic labyrinth of the old town was an unbeatable experience. The quaintly preserved family memorabilia in the apartment adds to the charm. The apartment had everything you would need for a few days - or longer! The hosts were welcoming and friendly - it is well worth the addition cost of having them pick you up from the airport for the convenience of getting you straight to the accommodation and the run down you get of ‘H’ on the way! Take him up on the offer!

You can not get a better location in our opinion. It is right on the Riva and easy access to all the bars , restaurants etc and when you look out your window you see an amazing view. The apartment has a kitchen with everything you need , along with a washing machine. Clean and tidy and lots of space in the living area.

The Tonka Riva family were great to deal with and were happy to book us a taxi from the airport and we were greeted by a very friendly driver who gave us a bit of local knowledge on the way.

The apartment was perfectly located, right in the middle of the old town , next to the Vestibule. From the window we had a wonderful view of the Riva. The apartment itself was clean, extremely well equipped and comfortable. The host was welcoming, friendly and provided us with all the information we needed as visitors in a new city. One of our best stays.

Our hostess Antonjeta and her family were MOST gracious and helpful. Antonjeta's son-in-law picked us up at the airport and Antonjeta met us near the east parking lot on the Riva. The apartment unit is in the old palace within the walls therefore no direct car access; we walked through quaint narrow alleyways and climbed some steps before arriving at the apartment (pack light is key). Our family of 3 absolutely LOVED the apartment, especially the location. It is in the middle of everything and we could easily reach every corner of the old town on foot. Restaurants /bars/shops are abundant just steps from the unit, and the farmers market is a must visit. The apartment is not big but more than adequate for 3. It is clean/spotless and the small washer is a nice bonus! The view of the harbor and vibrant energy on the Riva is the best feature of the apartment. There was a great fireworks show right in front of the apartment windows on our last night there, a very special treat! Antonjeta's family owns the apartment for generations, and she and her husband live next door. Antonjeta was always available for questions and has helped arranged transportation and luggage storage... she was a gem and made sincere efforts to ensured our vacation in Split was stress-free. I highly recommend this place if Split is on your travel itinerary.

Parking is problem. The park in front of the apart was always full and too expensive We found a place in railway station which is 300 meter away but 22 Eur /day The owner offered a 12 EUR/day park but it was far away, If you don't use your car in Split is ok (don't use, even don't come by car) When you open the Windows All of Riva's Noise in the room

- Location is perfect. You're staying at the Palace and over the Riva. Also in front of the Port and near the bus station - Owner is lovely and very friendly and helped us whatever we need. We asked a small pan for omlette and after 15 minutes they bought and provided - The room is big enough and You can find everything you need - The windows isolation is very well. When you close the windows all the noise stays outside

We had a great stay at the apartment. The apartment is fully equipped, nice shower, good bed and airconditioning. The location is wonderful, inside the walls of the palace. The host is a very nice lady who helped us out with finding our way and gave us information. She always replied immediately when we tried to contact her.

The apartment is just perfect, and I immediately felt like it was home. It felt like home because it was spotlessly clean, all the little extras you have at home were provided, the furniture, kitchen amenities, and bed were the most comfortable accommodations ever. The view is breathtaking. Antonjeta, the hostess, and her son-in-law, Hrvoje (who provided transportation), were fabulous, both as far as service and communication - they responded quickly and went the extra mile to assure your needs and comfort. I would give 20 stars if I could. I would book again in a minute. It's truly a gem.
