There was nothing to not like.

The host is extremely nice person. The property itself provides you awesome views and access to magical tiny whitewashed streets of artistic hidden gem Ano syros. Getting to Syros is 20 minutes walk or just a affordable taxi ride away. All the pubs bars and near by places are quite commendable. The host Alexis and his partners make this place even more magical for you. The way they prepare breakfast for you, guide you how to get around city and even make reservations for you on your behalf is amazing. Its like someone genuinely taking care of guest in their house. It did not feel transactional even for a minute. It was so relaxing for mind and soul that I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone. As a matter of fact if I go to Syros again I am going to Wind tales.

There was nothing to dislike. It was like staying with friends. The welcome by Alexis , engaging , charming and informative, could not be better. The rooms are comfortable and well thought out. Everything you might need is supplied., the breakfast is outstanding . The gentle service provided by Antonia and Dimitri is faultless.. A fantastic few days.

Nothing really - location means it’s a 20/25 min walk away from the main town which can be tough in the heat when going uphill but the local village of Anos Syros is beautiful and provides great views so it is worth it!

This is an amazing place to stay, and one of the best value places I’ve ever stayed in, both across Greece and in the world. Lovely spacious room, comfy bed and excellent shower. Breakfast was so filling and tasty and served with a beautiful view of the town. The best thing however are the team, who go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Very minor things but it’s really knit picking like not enough coffee and tea making facilities in the room and a slightly annoying clothes closet 😄 but really it is nothing compared to the overall excellent experience.

I had to leave lol

Everything. Literally everything. Breakfast was better than 5-star hotels with locally sourced produce. The staff was so nice and helped with literally EVERYTHING. The pool area was relaxing and provided panoramic views of Syros. After a booking error they even upgraded me to the best room at the hotel for free. This place was incredible. When I checked out I accidentally took the keys and had to leave them at a shop and the owner was completely nice and understanding. This hotel is the definition of customer service. I can't wait to come back to Syros!

Genuinely can’t think of anything

If we could give this an 11 we would! A boutique hotel at its best, every little detail is thought of. The team go above and beyond, thank you for making our stay so perfect. I’m going to miss the delicious breakfast with the most breathtaking view. We can’t wait to come back!

The stairs and steep climb was a little challenging for a couple in their seventies, but the view from the top made it well worth the effort getting there and the staff were only to happy to help with baggage.

The location was out of the main centre which was a plus as far as we were concerned and the views from our room and balcony were simply stunning. Breakfast was great and the host and her staff couldn’t have done more to make us feel comfortable.

Wind Tales is a great place to stay. Alexis is incredibly helpful - he explains everything and helps you get the most out of your visit. Syros is a wonderful island - great beaches and walks which are quiet and the lively town of Ermoupoli as a contrast.

Nothing to fault at all!!

Absolutely everything! Before we arrived we were greeted with Alexis at the entrance of Ano Syros who then spoke about the village and navigation to the hotel. The boutique is beautifully designed for a peaceful retreat and honeymoon in our stay. Our room was on top of a steep set of stairs which lead us to luxury. We were then greeted with complimentary wine and lemoncello from Alexis’ family. He then sat down with us and gave us suggestions on the best restaurants in the village and asked us what we would like for breakfast. Every detail in the room had thought. From the Korres products, to the bed and pillows, breakfast and lastly the view!! The staff were also very professional and friendly. Thank you very much Alexis & staff!

Easy to get lost in Ano Syros, but that's half the fun!.

Breakfast was exceptional. Farm fresh and traditional. The Strapatsada was a highlight. Our host Alexis was very informative, a most pleasant host who went above and beyond to provide recommendations on the best beaches and places to dine on the island and booking these destinations on our behalf. Everything was perfect

We had an amazing stay at Wind Tales. The property and the room were beautiful. Amazing view of the city with the peace and quiet of being in Ano Syros. Alexi was a great host with fantastic recommendations and truly did everything to ensure our stay in Syros was perfect both on the property and off. The morning breakfast made from local items, bread, cheese, jams, fruit eggs etc. was lovely. No doubt will be returning.

In summary: Breathtaking view, beautiful design and very attentive hosts! Wind Tales is perfect for people who like the authentic, have a love for detail and appreciate what Greece really has to offer. We especially loved the breakfast that was served with so much care - we were even able to taste the first figs of the season grown by Alexis! The hotel is located in the middle of the beautiful village Ano Syros which offers great restaurants and bars full of life and yummy cocktails. Alexis also recommended us stunning, lonesome beaches - exactly what we needed! For each beach day he also gave us tips for local tavernas and the perfect sunset-view. Thanks for making our stay so beautiful!

The property is located within steep streets so if you have mobility issues this could be an issue. But if you are ok navigating the terrain then 100% stay here for a memorable Syros visit

We loved the enchanting location in the old town of Anos Syros. Super comfortable beds and beautiful medieval restored rooms. Idyllic pool overlooking the city. Nestled within quiet streets of the old town with quaint bars and restaurants. Alexis, Constantine and the whole Wind Tales team were amazing, welcoming hosts. Helped us plan excursions and nice bars and restaurants to visit. This made our trip even more memorable.
