Saying goodbye!

We LOVED the Villa and Sophia! It is immaculate and has everything you need (even a coffee maker!) It is in a quiet yet really convenient location within walking distance of the lovely village of Megalachori and also a bakery/convenience store. There is a well equipped kitchen and sitting room with tv and music speaker downstairs. The master and twin bedrooms are downstairs with a bathroom between. The two large singles are upstairs with access to a wonderful roof terrace. The outside area is beautiful and has plenty of space to eat, play games or lie on the comfortable sunbeds. There are some lovely restaurants within walking distance (food is important to us!) You have beautiful views of the caldera away from the crowds and even though the villa has a beautiful garden and roof terrace to watch the sunset, we sometimes enjoyed walking through through the vines to to watch it from the edge. Sophia looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble for her. She helped us choose and book boat trips, wonderful restaurants (and even secured us a table when we couldn’t get one!) and offered to help with rental cars etc. We arrived to a wonderful bowl of fruit, butter, milk, honey, jam, water, coffee pods and wines! We were travelling around Greece and my husband left the hose for his cpap machine in Athens and she even found a place that sold hoses for us when we were staying in Naxos! She was so genuine and we will miss her, but hope to come back! Y

All was perfect

The property is stunning, from the rooms to the balcony to the pool area everything is perfect, I have no words to say about our host Sophia, looks like she new us from our childhood, she welcome us with fruits, water, wine I couldn’t believe, we came for santorini for our weeding so we end up doing the making off at the property, we left at 6pm for the wedding and left the house a bit up way down and I couldn’t believe when we arrived back at 5am the property was spotless clean again. Thank you so much Sophia

Nothing whatsoever, we loved every moment and every aspect of this place!

The villa was exceptionally beautiful and spotless! Was very well taken care of and had all the amenities that were needed & more! Sofia (the lovely host) was there upon our arrival and made sure everything was set to our expectations. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and generous. She also shared with us many recommendations and all were terrific! A truly delightful person who made our trip & stay superb! Definitely recommend this accommodation for any party of 2 or above and be sure to be prepared to meet one of the sweetest and most genuine people out there, Sofia!

I cannot think of anything - it was very hot and quite windy - but that's Santorini in June!

The quality of the villa and the extra customer service provided by Sophia was outstanding. The villa itself is clean, well equipped and in a great location - you can walk outside and see the Santorini sunset every night - it's very private, quiet and very central for touring the island. Sophia is an amazing host - she booked transport, tours, restaurants and a scenic tour in a helicopter before we arrived. She then helped us every day to maximise the enjoyment of our plans and visits. She's a lovely lady who always goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are happy.

Without a doubt this is the best place to stay in Santorini. The villa is new, clean and luxurious and we were very glad that we had chosen it for our visit. It is well away from the maddening crowds in the hillside villages of Fira and Oia, where the accommodation is all literally on top of one another, and nothing is private particularly when the crowds accumulate for the nightly sunset display. Philosophia villa is off a short dirt road amongst vineyards but within walking distance of Megalochori. It is well placed for wine tasting at the excellent wine estates of Santorini that were easily accessed by car from this part of the island. The villa is spacious with two double rooms on the ground floor and two rooms on the top floor. A stunning outdoor area with dining table and loungers make the thought of staying here for longer very appealing indeed. The pool was also truly private and well maintained. There are excellent views of the caldera and surrounding area from the upstairs terrace which was a great place for morning coffee! But the absolutely best part of this whole experience was Sophia who hosts the villa. She was very friendly and available to assist with any query, ranging from restaurant and winery recommendations to how to find the Greek channels on the TV. She provided a large welcoming bowl of fresh fruit, honey, coffee pods, bread for toast and a fridge stocked with a juice, milk, watermelon and plentiful supplies of bottled water. I mentioned in passing on arrival how I really liked Greek koulouria (bagels). So it was a delightful surprise to discover a box of fresh koulouria on our doorstep the next morning with a handwritten note from Sophia saying she got us some for our breakfast. She emanates such enthusiasm about Santorini and her warmth made the stay here very special.

Thanks to her. Thanks to Sofia we had a wonderful stay in her magnificent Villa. I recommend his accommodation 100% and I would come back !!! Negative points: I'm still looking .. ahah

Philosophia We had the most amazing time at Philosophia Luxury Villa. Sof was an amazing host and by the end, a friend, helping us to plan our days and evenings, including some delicious meals and an gorgeous sunset cruise! She even brought us the best ice cream we’ve ever had! The villa itself was stunning with amazing sunset views from the roof, a gorgeous pool area and comfortable, chic bedrooms. We ended up canceling our trip to Naxos and staying an extra night because we loved our special home so much. We will definitely be back!
