Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThis hotel is a little gem, a family run hotel in an excellent location a short stroll from the centre and the beach. Charlie, Despina baby Thanasis and Tony are charming and were really helpful with recommendations and making sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, the hotel itself is tastefully decorated and the breakfast was lovely, we will definitely stay again!

United States of AmericaParking was very tight but the streets are narrow so that was my problem! Also, I had a hard time keeping the water in the shower bottom.
It is darling and feels like it is its own enclosed safe little piece of heaven! From my balcony room I could see the sea from both sides and the owners made me feel completely like family. They are very friendly but respectful if you don’t want to talk as some guests don’t. They really really care to make sure you are enjoying your stay. I arrived after 20+ hours travel and immediately they sent out for wonderful takeout food for me when they saw how hungry I was!!!They seem to speak many languages also!!The room was spotless& had a refrigerator w cold water and the lobby had cold water and coffee 24/7. Pool was clear and chairs comfortable- breakfast good, plentiful, very fresh & seemed to go for a long time. The bed was comfy, and when my air conditioning seems to not be working the first few minutes, the owner called a repairman& actually went on the roof & took a part out of his own to fix mine as they could not get another part until morning!! He also parked my rental car for me several times and rescued me when I got in a tight driving spot once!! They gave great beach suggestions, helped me plan three days of an itinerary and sent me to delicious restaurants. The decor is bright and cheerful and makes you want to relax but it is so accessible to walking into town that you can do that also. I felt safe at all times going to town at night alone for the sunset and dinner and coming back late. Used the safe in the room, and WiFi very fast. Great location- I was very sad to hug the lovely owner goodbye!

This hotel is very nice ! Close to the center (5min walk) but really quiet. We enjoyed the pool every morning, it was lovely. The room was very nice (good size, comfy, beautiful, clean) and the windows have good mosquito nets. We would definitely recommend it.

Great location near the centre of Naousa, really friendly staff, really clean & lovely breakfast! They gave us a list of recommendations for places to eat, drink & things to do on the island which was great. There is also a water filling station in the reception area which is very handy!

United KingdomThe aircon lights were annoying at night (I prefer to sleep in total darkness).
The young lady on reception was very helpful and friendly and helped us out with directions etc. The room was clean and modern with a comfy bed (good storage). The pool was nice on a hot day. The breakfast was limited but nice. Great location to the town (2min walk) and less than 10mins to Moriatis winery (a must visit). The hotel was quite overall. Room safe was easy to use.

AustraliaEverything in Fitilia Hotel was lovely. Breakfast was an array of all different types of cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, home made jams etc. Plenty to go round. Rooms were cleaned every day. It's about a 10 minute walk down into town. Beautiful restaurants, a small port to get to other beaches around the island. It will take a little longer to come back up. There are a few steep paths. Overall, Charlie & Despina are wonderful. Credit to them for having such a nice little hotel in Paros. :)

AustraliaThe shower didn’t have a full door so the water would go all over the bathroom floor and you’d have to use most of your towels to keep the floor dry
Staff were amazing. Super helpful and kind. It felt so home like there. The rooms were really nice and clean and new. They had a little clothes line on the balcony which was an added bonus. Their money breakfast was yummy.

AustraliaCharlie and Despina were incredibly helpful, kind and ensured our stay was wonderful. There wasn't a detail that they overlooked from gluten free breakfast options to a trip to the port and fabulous restaurant recommendations that were affordable. Their yoghurt is fantastic. The pool is fabulous and we used it everyday. Our room had a balcony and looked towards the sea. Rooms overlooking the pool would have been fine as the hotel is small and very quiet. 5 min walk to beaches, restaurants, town centre, car hire and supermarket. They did laundry for us. We would stay again.

United KingdomWe stayed in the windmill which was our choice, however in our opinion it should come with a height restriction warning as we are both very tall and it was a bit tight.
Charlie, Thespina, Thanasis and Tony were a beautiful family who made our stay! The pool and outside area was beautiful, modern and clean. The breakfast was brilliant, with a nice variety every day. The location is perfect, super close to the main town and all the amenities around.
