It would be lovely to have a 2nd bathroom, as there were 3 of us but we knew it was 1 bath when we booked, so not a real negative. Just a note.

It was a lovely & charming cave. One bedroom + living room which doubled up as a soda-bed-room for our son. Villa was well appointed, clean n new. Our host Andrea was sincere n did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. When we needed some guidance on getting to the Athinos port, she helped us to book a driver and provided a porter service up the stairs. I really want to give Andrea a perfect 10! Breakfast was provided - delivered to the villa & was delicious. Lovely place n host!

Andrea very carefully introduced us to the room facilities and the attractions of Santorini, provided us with a very rich and delicious breakfast, and helped us carry our luggage. The view was beautiful and the room was very spacious. We had a great time.

Great location, excellent host and a cosy suite. Andrea was very caring and welcoming , she explained to us the places of intrests in Santorini and gave some amazing recommendations for our stay and arranged a good deal with premium transport service provider. My daughter loved the indoor pool.Andrea prepared tasty breakfast for us every day and insisted to carry fruits / yogurt for my daughter on the last day. Highly recommended.

Would have been great if the water temperature of the indoor spa was warmer, but not a big issue. Andrea had told us upfront about it, during check-in.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the suite and how cosy it was. Location was good and we were pleased to know that it was located just at the start of the 10km hike to Oia, which we did! Breakfast was sufficient and Andrea was very kind to accommodate some little requests like swapping some items with apple juice and granola. To top it all, we had breakfast at the balcony of the suite, where views were gorgeous and the sun on our faces in the cool wind just wonderful!

the property is very cave-y and the view from the balcony is fantastic. the location of the home is prime - not far off from the bus station and central Fira. Andrea is extremely helpful and responsive - she gave us a detailed overview of the area and the home at our arrival and good recommendations of what to do on the island. She made us feel very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

My recent stay at the Doukas Caldera Suite in Thira Santorini was nothing short of extraordinary, largely due to the exceptional service provided by our host, Andrea. Andrea's warmth and compassion made our experience truly memorable from the moment we arrived. The highlight of Andrea's hospitality was her considerate assistance to my elderly uncle, who has low vision. Meeting us at the top of Thira Hill, she guided us down the 38 steps to the suite with remarkable care. Andrea's genuine concern for my uncle's well-being was evident as she held onto his arm, ensuring a safe and comfortable descent. Her compassion and attentiveness left a lasting impression on both of us. What further endeared Andrea to us was her gracious refusal of a generous tip from my uncle. Despite his insistence, she accepted only half of what we intended to give, demonstrating a level of humility and professionalism rarely encountered. The location of the Doukas Caldera Suite was another stroke of luck. With only 38 steps to reach the suite, we felt fortunate compared to others we observed navigating 200 or more stairs with their luggage. Thira was the ideal base for exploring the island, offering convenient access to restaurants, markets, breathtaking views, and picturesque walkways. Andrea's recommendation of a rental car greatly enhanced our exploration of the island. She efficiently organized the rental and provided valuable insights into the must-visit spots. Thira's central location facilitated our visits to all parts of the island, making our stay both convenient and enjoyable. As American tourists, we appreciated the delightful touch of a scrumptious breakfast served in our suite every morning. The scrambled eggs and bacon prepared by Andrea added a comforting and indulgent start to our days. I wholeheartedly recommend the Doukas Caldera Suite to anyone seeking a memorable and enchanting experience on this beautiful Greek island.

Loved our stay here. The private terrace, breakfast and overall location were all amazing! The views from the private terrace were unreal. Andrea and Nikos were such lovely hosts and helped us organise transfers from the airport and to the port. Andrea also welcomed us on the first day and gave us some amazing recommendations for our stay. Highly recommend this place and the area.

We were hoping the plunge pool was going to be warmer. It was a bit chilly to get into.

The location was perfect. We had the most beautiful sunsets from our balcony. The breakfast was always delicious and so beautifully prepared. Our host Andrea was delightful to work with.

We had a great stay! Our suite was stylish and well-equipped. Andrea, our host, provided outstanding hospitality and personal service. Everything from the welcome bottle of wine and bowl of fresh fruit, to the delicious hand-delivered breakfasts made our stay a delight. She also arranges a porter to handle suitcases and will set up your transportation to and from the airport, which I highly recommend.

Our stay at this beautiful traditional home was indeed a dream-like vacation. Everything was beautifully decorated. The view was spectacular. We were steps away from restaurants and shops. And, have I told you about the amazing indoor jacuzzi yet? Highly recommended!!

What's not to like? The best host ever! So helpful, so accommodating, so informative. She went above and beyond in every way, a bottle of wine on arrival, a gift on departure. Porter's for luggage, amazing breakfast served on our breathtaking balcony with the most incredible views! It was a dream come true. I actually rate it a 12 comparing it to all other experiences. The cave style accommodations were magnificent and the plunge pool was a great bonus! Don't hesitate to book this centrally located gem!
