I was recommended this hotel last year on a previous trip to Santorini in November 2023. A local guide told me and I quote ‘This is the best hotel in Megalochori’, so I booked two rooms to accommodate six people without really knowing what to expect. Let me tell you, it was hands down the best hotel experience I've had in all my years of travelling. My friends and I got served local Santorini sweet wine upon check-in, the rooms were spotless, had all the basic amenities and were cleaned daily. The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing. The gym facilities had all you needed for a decent workout with the bonus of a view. The pool was decent and came with a beautiful view of the island. We had the option of eating breakfast in our room or out by the pool and the restaurant staff paid attention to what we ordered daily. The hotel has a free bus service that takes you into Fira and the local beaches we utilised (and they even offered to take my friends and me to a few locations nearby to avoid us walking in the sun). And finally, the staff. The staff at this hotel went the extra mile for my friends every single time, and they made our entire experience memorable I know if I'm ever back in Santorini, I will be staying here again.

A distance from village square so dining is a bit limited. We walked and used good public bus system.

Nothing, seriously everything was the best. I enjoyed every single second and was happy when my flight got delayed for 2 hours so that I can spend more time. They still welcomed us :)

I enjoyed everything about this place. The location is very nice, best view from all the places starting from the swimming room to the reception and the room. When it comes to the staff, then I must say that they are the most friendliest ever. The welcomed us from outside of the hotel the moment the taxi stopped, took us inside and gave us welcome wine, a map of the place and explained to us the history of the place including best places to visit and so on. They also called the tours which I booked to confirm the pickup location and time. They also have a free shuttle service to take you from hotel to the best places in the city and back to the hotel. During my girlfriend’s birthday they gave her a gift which was not expected and made her happiness double!! When it comes to the room then it is extremely clean, very big and the balcony is just ooOf, I swear nothing better than that. The air condition was also working nicely, the TV and Wi-Fi. When it comes to the food it was really extremely tasty, they prepare it upon order so that it is fresh, warm and no food wastage. You can always order as much as you want and they will give you the food in your room or near the swimming pool, according to your preference. I must say this place is definitely exceptional snd worth it and I would rate it 100/10 and definitely if I come again, I would go there and I would recommend it to everyone. Big shout out to the staff “Kyriakos”, most friendliest and one of the nicest people I have met in my entire life. Thank you again!!

Best holiday ever worth every penny the view from our balcony was stunning could see the sun set every night they have the nicest interior the room was modern spacious and very clean had a mini kitchen area and sofa area housekeeping would check everyday if you needed more towels or water stocked after cleaning the room The food that Maria the cook makes is restaurant standard would get room service most days because of her food was amazing The staff Andreas,anna and Eleftheria were the most attentive people I have ever met always looking after you with a smile on their face lovely people the manager kyriakos was great he looks after everyone he would help us plan activities and book them for us with transport sorted out they take care of everything for you to make your stay relaxing and check on how you are everyday if you enjoyed the activities and give recommendations the pool and restaurant area is beautiful with a view of the ocean and sunset in the evening the hotel is in a quiet town compared to fira which has lots of tourists and hotels but I am so glad we booked it as all the famous towns and beaches are about 15 min drive from each other and you have the best view of the sunset so you don’t even need to visit oia for the sunset where it is very crowded truly a luxurious holiday staying at caldera would recommend to everyone wanting to visit Santorini and I’ll definitely be coming back

Breakfast was ok, location is good if you hire a vehicle. I was not driving so relied mostly on taxis which can be expensive for some. View from the room and hotel itself is great you do not need to hire a yacht to see sunset it is mesmerising from the hotel and surroundings itself.

Great location, amazing views on the caldera, it is nearby of village of Megalochori - very beatiful, very good breakfast included. Staff were very kind, very helpfull giving us suggestions of activities and point of interest.

Nice location in a quiet and not so touristic part of Santorini. The estate was rather new and in good shape. Selection of breakfast options was very good and the staff always prepared to answer any guest questions and very helpful.

We stayed for 2 weeks at Caldera Dolphin s suites (4th-18th July 2021) and we had a wonderful stay! The view on the caldera is breathtaking, the room was clean and cosy (air con worked really well, terrasse was spacious), the pool was heated and we had it to ourselves most of the time. Thira (the cook) was extremely kind and made the best grilled octopus and santorinian pasta! We only had breakfast included so we ate out at night but it was nice to have a tasty lunch at the hotel when we were spending the day there. It s a small size hotel so you are well taken care of by the staff and the manager was also super helpfull giving us good recommandations and helping with bookings (boat trip etc.), always making sure we had everything we needed. In my opinion, Megalochori is the best location to explore the island from and the village itself is charming and traditionnal and has a couple of good restaurants. I recommand renting a car (free parking at the hotel also). Thank you to everyone at Caldera Dolphins, we definitly hope to be back soon and we recommand it 100%! France & Rolande

The restaurant food was great but there weren’t many main vegetarian options. Pillows were a little firm but the beds were great. The breakfast menu is big and offers variety, but the breakfast food itself wasn’t anything spectacular. These aren’t strictly negatives, just things for the property to potentially improve. Regardless, it’s a place we would book again in a heartbeat.

We had a great stay at the Caldera’s Dolphin Suites. The staff went over and beyond to help us whenever we needed assistance- truly exceptional hospitality. The views from the suites are perfection. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the center of the village. It’s a small, quiet and low key village, so don’t expect too much, but it’s peaceful and relaxed. Anything beyond the village will require a car or taxis. The pool isn’t huge but is heated and perfect. We were in the junior suite and it was spacious, well fitted, and very comfortable.
