There is no private parking available, so you have to rely on the public one (200m far from the hotel). The drawback here is that during high season, it could be difficult to find a parking place. Moreover, the swimming pool didn't have the option to warm the water meaning that we couldn't use it during our visit.

Incredible location since it was in a walking distance to the village of Alonnissos and Patitiri harbor. On top of that the room had stunning view! Breakfast was sufficient with delicious options and very nice morning view

From the moment we arrived until our departure, our experience staying at Althea was nothing short of magical. The first thing that struck me was the warm welcome from the hotel staff. Their hospitality and friendliness made us feel well-cared for. The hotel is simply amazing. The design is so unique and the whole atmosphere is so serene and calm. Our favorite part was having delicious breakfast admiring the view of Chora. The location is super convenient as it's close to bars and restaurants in Chora.

We loved our entire stay.

Highly recommend the Althea. We had a Superior room which was beautifully designed and decorated. Very comfortable with a sea view and small balcony. Breakfast was exceptional. All homemade with large variety. The entire complex is very well designed and in centre of the Old Village. Our Host was very helpful with dinner recommendations, rental cars, and beach recommendations.

Stairs were quite dangerous up to the bedroom. Especially if you needed to go downstairs to the bathroom during the night.

Very welcoming hostess. Lovely studio, simply but effectively furnished and decorated with a great mix of traditional and modern. Great location in which to feel part of the old town and with a good view. Great breakfast in the lovely hotel courtyard garden.

Althea is one of the very few hotels in the Chora of Alonissos in a lovely location and enchanting 360 degrees view of the entire island. Although I was aware and had chosen to stay here in the high season at a decidedly high daily rate compared to other superior hotels of the Greek islands and Sporades in general, given the exceptional view of the room, the excellent cleanliness and the maximum availability of the staff on various aspects, to aim for the maximum rating 10 of a luxury accommodation the hotel can "overlook" some details, such as charging an espresso or a cappuccino as an extra at breakfast, especially for Italians :). There is always room for improvement towards excellence, and Althea is on the right track.

A little hard to find at first, they just need a sign. Nothing we didn't like, just a suggestion.

We loved everything! The woman at the reception was so sweet, our room was beautifully decorated, so clean and had a specular view, the breakfast was wonderful and the location was excellent.

The sun goes behind the building so you lose some sun time during the day. We turned on the pool bubbles and it let out a bunch of bugs so it might need to be cleaned but they give you a pool net so you can clean the pool if things fly into it

The view is amazing, great location, clean, they have a cafe where you can order cocktails, great breakfast, helpful staff - would definitely stay here again! The private pool is great. I proposed to my girlfriend here - it is very romantic

We paid a lot more for a room with the plunge pool but didn’t end up using it as it was in shadow most of the day and very cold!

This hotel had absolutely amazing views and so much charm. It was beautiful to watch the sunrise and sunset from our balcony.

The unit was north facing and as such didn't get enough sunshine to heat the plunge pool. It was too cold to use in early September. Excellent view though.

We used the mini pool once but we felt a bit awkward in the middle of the breakfast area and there was nowhere obvious to sit and dry off afterwards! A couple of sun loungers would be a great addition.

The room was very well designed and comfortable. The views from our room were beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of different options. The location was perfect for exploring the Old Village and we went on some beautiful walks nearby.
