The hosts are fantastic! The location is about a mile from Oia but out of the congestion and craziness. Lovely apartment with an upstairs loft with 2 twin beds. It is 50 steps below the caldera path, below an adorable small church and a lovely spot to watch the sunset. Great private terrace with small dunking pools and the opposite (NW) view. Restaurant right across the street and general store very near. This apartment was our favorite part of our brief visit to Santorini.

The hospitality of the family who runs the property. They were friendly and extremely helpful to make my stay comfortable and memorable. I can’t thank Vaggelis enough for making extra efforts such as providing me with useful tourist information and making arrangements, and even helping me move to next accommodation! The location was also perfect for me as I wanted to stay somewhere where I can enjoy good privacy and also the sunset!

The owners were wonderful and bent over backwards to accommodate us! They provided beach towels when we asked about it, surprised us with homemade ice cream cake, and helped us finalize our plans for the days, including food recs. Free parking in a secured lot (not on the street as many hotels do!). The apartment itself was beautiful and clean, and I enjoyed my mornings looking out at the sea. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

Vaggelis and his family are the best host! The house is very beautiful and clean, each detail is taken care of. It's located at the entrance of Oia with a bus station right in front of the house, the bus takes you directly to the main square of Oia in few minutes. Vaggelis was always there to help us, very kind and thoughtful. His mom even gave us delicious banoffee!

Very sweet family run hotel/aparthotel. They had a fridge with water and breakfast foods and coffee when you arrived. They are super helpful about where to go on the island in terms of site seeing, beaches, tours, restaurants, churches and so forth. I also received a free upgrade to a room with a little pool and in the afternoon the hosts mom was so lovely and brought me an Oreo ice cream cake. Such lovely service! Would highly recommend this place if you are travelling alone, with friends or as a couple.

Beautiful apartment with an exceptional staff. This property exceeded our expectations. The design is very nice, spacious, super clean and everything is new. We were upgraded for free to a room with a pool because it was available. Vagellis and his family are very welcoming and friendly. You will feel like home. I recommend this place without any hesitations and I will definitely go back one day.

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect, very clean, very nice hosts, they did everything so we can enjoy our stay. We were upgraded for free to a room with pool because it was available. The design is very nice, cave style, and very welcoming. There is a bus station very close to go to Oia and Fira, however for the return you have to walk around 20min. We would definitely comme again here one day! I think it was the best accommodation we ever had.

Having to leave...

Everything was just perfect! The family running Alonistra just made this the most incredible stay of anywhere we've been in the world (and that's 60+ countries). The location made our visit to Santorini such a breeze. It was close enough to walk to Oia, but even more amazing was the local village and restaurants surrounding us. The property itself was stunning, down to every detail. The rooms, the pool, the outside spaces to sit and watch the sunset - all beautiful!

the Hospotality, we were given all the information by Vaggelis when we reached. Bus stop just outside the house. walking distance to OIA. from the room able to see sunset. just walk up behind the house able too slightly see the sunrise. thank you Vaggelis help us to print out our boarding pass.

Everything was perfect

It is a family-run business with four very nicely appointed cottages. One of them even has a small pool. Vagellis picked me up at the airport on very short warning. His English is excellent and he is very warm, responsive and informative host. His mom is very lovely and brought me breakfast to order everyday. Vagelis's father drove me to the ferry port and was also a lovely man. The cottage itself was extremely clean and comfortable. The bathroom was newly already done in a cave style. I had use of two terraces. The location was convenient with just a short walk to Oia main Street. Almost across the street is a really nice restaurant that I ate at almost daily. I recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice relaxing time without the heavy traffic of downtown Oia.

The villas were excellent, with new toilets and baths. The view from the balcony is something to look forward to every sunset. Location of the property is spot on, around 7 to 8 minutes by foot or you can take the public bus which is located just across the street. Will definitely come back when I'm in Santorini. The host Flora and Vaggelis is just superb, so warm and welcoming. You can count on them if you need anything to be arranged on the island during your stay. Highly recommended!

Vaggelis and his family were exceptional hosts. The room and ambiance were perfect. The place has a new renovated bathroom, and overal the place is very spacious. You can see beautiful views just from this location, it is super close to the town center for shopping and the famous Oia sunset. Also, the host takes care of transfers. Vaggelis took his time to explain the map and help us decide what we should do with our time here. I am from beautiful Florida and I rate this 100/10.

Lovely property with an exceptional staff. This property really exceeded our expectations. It was such a beautiful apartment, with a perfect backyard ( beach chairs, table with chairs) to relax in the afternoon. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and welcoming. They even arranged for us, an early breakfast, since we had to leave early in the morning. I really want to thank Vaggelis, for taking care of us ( he helped us with every information we may needed like where to park the car in Oia, what to see or where to eat and even gave us his number, to call him if we may need something) Also, he ofered us a little bottle of santorini wine, so we can enjoyed during the sunset. The hospitality was the best i have even seen so far from a hotel, it makes you feel like you are in a five star hotel. Thank you Vaggelis, for making our stay at Santorini so memorable.
