Shower wasn’t overly powerful and was a little bit cramped due to the ceiling (can’t be helped though) Some noise from other guests in the morning (again, can’t be helped)

We arrived very late due to traffic which was quite stressful and felt under pressure that if we arrived later than pub closing we would not be able to check in. Also didn’t realise checkout was 10oclock which is quite early and felt a bit rushed, however the staff were incredibly nice about it and we were able to get ready and it wasn’t a major issue. All in all these were down to us not reading the detail properly to start with

Nothing to report here. The water pressure at the electric shower can be a bit lower than on a "normal" shower which is entirely as expected (therefore you get hot water almost instantaneously) and the shower is a very modern 2 part unit. All brilliant.

Great place; all new and very much up to standard. Very friendly team making you feel welcome. The room, the bathroom, the selection of teas, coffees & biscuits is great. Great food & drinks at the pub / restaurant which seems to be very popular. Not the cheapest place but definitely worth every single penny. Will definitely stay there again.

Breakfast option is a basic hamper. Tick off a list the evening before, croissant, bagel, muffin, porridge in a pot you add water to etc. Was perfectly fine, just different.

What a find. Lovely guest house separated from the pub so noise levels was not an issue. Lovely room, not huge but adequate and a nice shower room. Comfy bed and warm. The food in the pub was delicious and staff were lovely. Plenty of parking.

What a pleasant surprise...! Newly built guest rooms, to a high standard. Staff who seemed genuinely happy in their roles, very friendly, & attentive. A totally professional operation, & sooooo much nicer than anonymous larger hotels.... plus free parking & tasty pub food - what's not to like.... 20 minutes drive during rush hour to either Cardiff, or Newport. I will definitely be staying here again :o)

Cannot think of anything

The main factor for us was price - exceptional value for money. It was an ideal location for our needs ( didn't need central Cardiff). The room was warm and comfortable with plenty of hot drinks. We didn't order from the breakfast hamper but it looked quite extensive. The pub onsite had a varied menu and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly. For a Friday night we didn't notice any noise from the road or the pub.

A friendly greeting, and we were able to check in slightly earlier as the room was ready. The pub was decent although we didn't order food, it did look like good quality and I could hear other guests receiving the same friendly service I did when I arrived. I would consider staying again for visits to Cardiff

There was not enough counter space in both the bathroom and room. (There wasn't enough space in the bathroom to put your contact solution and contact case down.) The room was also very dark.

It would have been lovely to have the choice of a cooked breakfast and one in the restaurant not in our room - part of the treat of being away. Hence we chose to have breakfast elsewhere.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were also spacious and good quality. The whole stay was beautifully peaceful and a great night's sleep. The decor was new, spotlessly clean and attractive. It was great being in a separate building from the pub/restaurant although this was not noisy anyway. Very handy and close to get into Cardiff & Cardiff Bay if you have a car Cheaper than staying in the city
