The room had been recently decorated and seemed quite fresh. The kitchen was well organised by room. Check in was easy. The TV was new with apps like netflix etc. The bed seemed cheap but a mattress topper meant it was ok in terms of comfort. Two coffee pods and biscuits were provided (but only for use in machine in kitchen, no tea and coffee making facilities in room). The room I was in was no 5 upstairs so quite quiet - I requested this and it was actioned for me. I wouldn't want to stay downstairs so wouldn't book again unless upstairs could be guaranteed or you could book by room number (4 or 5) which I don't think is possible currently.

Given the room was advertised as luxury I was expecting toiletries to be provided, towels to be thicker and softer and the room to be cleaned at some point during 6 night stay. The kitchen was a bit dated- e.g. old freestanding cooker. I had issues with parking and communication. I'd requested a parking permit several days in advance by email and then on the app but didn't get a response until after I arrived. Luckily no-one else seemed to be staying with a car so I could park on the patio in front of the house. This is not a drive as there's no dropped kerb and is very tight so difficult to reverse into. I asked again for a parking permit and was told by WhatsApp one would be delivered on the second day of my stay - it never was and I got no response to further messages I left on the app or WhatsApp.

Gorgeous old-style townhouse, loads of character and high ceilings. Very comfortably furnished (I could have slept on the carpet!) and nice to have a bathroom with actual opening windows and natural light. Staff were fantastic and great location. Spacious room with plenty of useful furniture (actual storage in the bathroom under sink, etc).

The only small gripe I had was that there was only one usable plug socket and it was right underneath the TV far away from the bed so I couldn’t use and charge my phone at the same time. Understandable given the age of the property, but I would rather have had an accessible socket next to the bed than the wired-in landline phone on the bedside table which seems a bit unneeded in this day and age. Very minor point though!

Was very clean, modern, spacious and impressive design. Comfy large bed. Clever TV set up with channels. Location was outskirts vibe but quick bus right outside. Few places to eat nearby. Yummy complimentary coffee.
