Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis is not the fault of the pub but my room overlooked the main road and from 6am there were a lot of passing HGVs which were noisy. Earplugs are advisable.
The room was spacious, clean and warm. The bed was comfy and the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. This was my second visit to the establishment and I will come again.

United KingdomPrice quite high for room only and quality of room. No breakfast on site. Kettle flex didn't reach socket next to it. Only one chair for 2 people and not very comfortable to relax on. No soap for handwashing. Very noisy street on a Saturday night if you're in a front room.
Great location. Lucky to get a space in the very small car park. Nice, busy bar.

United Kingdom-
The room only cost £30 a night; it was worth almost twice that price. Decent size (double) bedroom & bathroom that looked out on to the street but with no disturbing noises. Warm welcome and the staff were extremely helpful.

United KingdomA sheet of useful information in the room with details such as the Wifi password, check out procedure and useful local info would have been very much appreciated. As a solo traveller, I'm wary of going into a bar by myself to ask for information, so this information in the room would have been appreciated. Mobile internet and phone signal in the room was almost non existent, so to have been able to use the Wifi would have been good. When I came to check out at 7:30 am on the morning of my departure, I found the front door was locked and I very nearly missed my bus and train connection through being unable to open the door. There was a knob to turn, however, nothing happened and I eventually figured out that to unlock it you had to take the knob off to access the lock underneath. I made it to my bus with one minute to spare. It was the only way out and there was no one around to ask for help, or number to call. If there'd been a fire it would have been really dangerous.
Warm, dry, comfortable room- as soon as you came in from getting cold and damp outside, you'd be warm immediately, which is much appreciated given the amount of rain in Rhaeadr Gwy! Warm radiator made drying damp things easy. Very comfortable room, quiet with a nice background hum of happy noise from outside. The room certainly felt like the pub has always been a happy, bustling place at the heart of community life. Fantastic location- round the corner from the bus station and leisure centre, in the midst of the town centre shops, just 15 minutes' walk from Gigrin Farm red kite feeding centre and 10 minutes' walk from the Elan Valley Trail, which leads you directly to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre and reservoirs.
